LSU as a Program

It really bothers me how some people want to hide this thing and sweep it under the rug as much as possible and just brush it off. In an era where the NCAA is just bringing the hammer down everywhere the last we should be doing is hiding information and dealing with this "internally". If you remember the McCarthy case our cooperation with the NCAA and willingness to release certain information was basically the catalyst in reducing our sentence. We already have the NCAA snooping on our asses about Willie Lyles as it is. We need to be transparent now more than ever, this hush hush bullshite is going to get on the NCAA's bad side I just feel it. Yeah, its not an NCAA matter, but the more we take the attitude "kids will be kids", then slowly but surely the offenses grow from mere bar fights and drug run-ins to taking money and getting a bowl-ban. It doesn't take long for this stuff to happen, see USC, Miami, Ohio St.. NCAA is not afraid of taking down money making machines, or prestigious football programs. Yeah maybe the kids don't take the offense nearly as serious as fans, but the fans set the tone of the program just as much, because the players come for 4 years, but the fans last a lottt longer. We do have influence, and if we don't tolerate it then maybe the players will understand that consequence better, but if we are just like haha its cool then they won't expect any repercussions. It has taken a lot of high character players and discipline to build this program, lets stop this shite where it is or its a long road back to where LSU was before Saban.

Please go find a case of the NCAA investigating some athletes for smoking weed.

It's an internal thing.

Then why did you even bring the NCAA up retard?

Seriously?
It's 3 players smoking some synthetic canabinoids. People do much worse on a daily basis.
The only reason this is news is because some little aide let the reason of the "violation of team rules" slip.
NCAA is not going to impose any sanctions on ANY program because players are smoking some weed. Period.
Why do people think this is so detrimental to LSU as a program. It is not.

You do realize that what LSU and Miles are doing is the exact opposite of what you just said!!! What makes you so sure that LSU, as they have done so far in the past decade at least have not reported the infraction, if any, to the NCAA already!!!
They are taking steps to make sure that they are one step ahead of any possible repercussions , as they have always done in the past few years.
fricking rantards with their presumptuous arrogance at forcing their ignorance on others.

It's the manner in which Miles goes about these disciplinary issues, whether its NCAA, or "internal" matters. He doesn't seem to ever admit that there was a screw up, and stand before the rules/laws etc. and say that he needs to take responsibility. He ends up dodging this bs by saying "I can't confirm this or that". Why the hell not? You screwed up, ADMIT IT, and move on damnit. I never heard him once ever stand up as a leader and take responsibility for the issues going on. He has yet to own up to the disciplinary issues at LSU over the last several years.

Also what does this mean? Fans can bitch and moan to high heaven or ignore everything but it's Miles' decision. Fans have absolutely no influence in this matter except for making a lot of loud pointless rabble.

Knowing nola.com, that source is probably a post on this board.

So let me get this straight, you're annoyed because he doesn't come right out and say what possible infractions have been made?
Because that's what you would do?
He's the Head Coach. You are not.
You are a person that knows very little about what is going on. How does he end up "dodging" questions? He's keeping the privacy of the matter private. You really think he's going to just come right out and say whatever the case may be just because that's what you would do?

Laugh my fricking arse off. Apparently you've never publicly spoke, because if you had, you understand that the general public has a need to know basis of shite. Why would he air out dirty laundry for no reason? It looks bad for everyone, and shows potential recruits that Miles wouldn't be there for them in thick or thin.
