So, it's not what but who that defines control? So we should compare LSU v your perception of Les' control v other programs?

yes it's true many will never give Les a fair shake so you're mind is made up you don't need any facts?

Is this the only measuring stick of control for a head coach? yes or no?

So where has Les lost control more than these other coaches?

You strike me as a person who thinks much more highly of his intellect than others do.

That may not ultimately be true, but it's just an observation. Point being, your argument is not working at all

What should the measuring stick be if not for arrests?

Comparing them directly to A&M helps your point, but different than this thread. The purpose of this thread is to show LSU ranking low against other teams in conference, which is true. BUT, the stature of their players changes perception.

What? Florida, UGA, Bama, A&M have all had guys arrested that were high profile and went on to be 1st round draft picks.

I'm pretty god damn sure according to ESPN and other media outlets LSU has more arrests than all other
SEC teams combined.

Your data must be flawed

It's not but these guys that want to blame Les don't care

How is it not fair to judge Miles for discipline problems of players on his team under his watch?

I'm not blaming him at all for TM or what he did, but come on, he had major issues while playing for Miles at LSU. They were handles, but still issues that got alot of press which will lead to a perception.

You case should rely on the fact that perception is not reality, not that Mathieu's struggles shouldn't be attributed while playing for Miles.

Miles isn't a god damned babysitter.

Rules are in place. Most things are handled internally.

3 arrests. 3.

In 3 years. All three coming from two bar fight incidents.

Those don't count either. They aren't high enough profile, and aren't lsu players. So they don't help his argument.

I posted about this in a thread the other day on Poli board.

Florida set an NCAA record in 2007 with 11 arrests. But their Heisman Hero made Urban like a coach who recruits high character guys.

Tell me of your inside knowledge of the lsu football program

If we can't measure discipline by arrests, what do we measure it with?

It's a pretty damn objective one. I'd say how many players get dismissed if we're talking LSU b/c Les actually gets rid of guys. Other coaches not so much.

Boom

Les has had no qualms about dismissing players.

Perilloux was never arrested. He was kicked off the team though.

Mathieu was kicked off the team then Arrested.

Thing is, if you say no...it hurts you're argument. If you say yes, you're wrong.

You're in a real pickle here.

I say this all the time. Les miles has made it pretty clear that he WILL kick off his best player.

He has set that precedent with guys like Perriloux and Mathieu
