I don't think he will play this year, probably medical redshirt for a back problem. Should be back next year for a return trip to TS, damn, that will be interesting.

Don't blame LSU for the 4 o'clock start. LSU (Verge Ausberry in particular) pled with ESPN weeks ago not to play this game at 4 o'clock and to make it the 8:00 ESPN2 game b/c of the heat. ESPN is solely responsible for putting these players in danger by playing at 4:00.

I'm glad to see LSU at least taking some measures to advise fans about the heat, but the fans were going to be at the game whether the game was at 4 or 7. People are going to drink too much and people will still be going to the hospital no matter what LSU sets up, but hopefully this will lessen the heat incidents during the day.

It's a good thing for LSU to spread the safety warnings. I have friends who are in the LSU ER program in BR and they've had to run codes at the game. Can never be too safe.

Maybe he should have thought about that when he agreed to take their money. If I am not mistaken, the game has ALWAYS been at 4. It's not like "weeks ago" he just realized that it would be hot at 4 pm in S. LA!

I keep hearing that LSU officials had no choice in the matter, but I thought that we were only obligated to move the game time up for CBS (since the SEC has a contract with them) or for one Lincoln Financial game. I didn't know that if ESPN came calling then we were forced to accomodate them every time. A lot of my buddies are blaming Joe Alleva for not respecting LSU's tradition of night football, but it looks like he didn't have any say.

All LSU has to do is Say due to health and safety considerations of our/aaps players, coaches and fans the game will be played at 7pm. If ESPN dont like it we are sorry. The safety of our kids and appy kids comes first! What can ESPN do? They would look like total monsters to do anything.
