LSU and Tournaments

Why is that LSU always does good in tournaments. It dont matter how bad they get thier arse beat in the season, they always make up for it during tournament time.

Same reason LSU doesn't dogpile after beating SEC teams or go balls to the walls on mid-week games. It is a been there done that attitude & they know what counts. Sure it sucks to stumble but the LSU theory is, do what it takes to get there & then play your best ball. Also, the SEC tourney is by far the hardest tourney of the post-season. Teams that get through the SEC tourney are rolling along when it comes to regionals, nothing compares to playing 7 of the best teams in the best conference.

Look at the NBA, the best team in the regular season didn't even get past the second round. Regular season only matters but so much. Most good programs with a winning tradition know it's all business in the post season.

Not necessarily just LSU. Teams that "need" to win in the postseason tend to be more focused than teams that are "already in". I think that's a big part of it, and I said the same thing before the SEC Tourney started and said this would happen.

All of yal are right but as far back as I can remember they always always kick arse in tournaments....I say it every year when friends who like other teams rag me in the regular season...What til the Tournament and we will see who is lafting last.....HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
