We would be dead last in academics. Doubt they want us unless too good to pass up and infiltrate the South.

They got expelled from the AAU right before joining the Big 10, and they were still let in. There is no guarantee they get reinstated either; it has never happened before.
The Big 10's academic standards are something they like to project, but they're always looking for ways to expand their footprint in the college sports landscape. Adding LSU wouldn't be beneath them. Especially if it hurts the SEC.
