Actually the city is great. I think it is 10 times better than Baton Rouge. I came here to take a job with the idea of transferring back to BR, but after living here neither my wife nor myself want to go back.

bullshite. LSU could have a losing season and if you'd question the douches on here who consistently start the "ULL isnt UL" threads AND the douches here in Lafayette with a hardon for hating LSU, UL or ULL (whichever you want to call it) beating LSU is either a stake through the heart or freaking NIRVANA.

Lafayette is a great place to live with plenty of LSU fans/alums. Unfortunately the small yet vocal group of LSU haters give the ULL fanbase a bad rep. I know plenty of ULL alums that have season tickets for LSU football and other sports. Lafayette is pro LSU in general with a few anti-LSU people mixed in.

This is very true.

I always tell the LSU haters that people in BR could care less about ULL except maybe on a game week. But the ULL fans obsess about LSU all year long.

Jay walker still has sand in his vagina, because LSU gave the job to NSU grad Jim Hawthorne. He hates LSU (becuase he ended up at ULL), and can't stand having to talk about them on his radio show. He is one of those ULL folks with penis envy who actually believe LSU and the state are holding back U LA LAF. Jay walker needs to realize there are 2 types of baseball teams... Those who have and those who haven't. One CWS appearance means nothing. Get over it you old delusional frick.

I agree. It's because Lafayette doesn't put up low income apartments and rental homes in the middle class parts. This keeps the middle class parts nice and they stay middle class - as opposed to Baton Rouge where a middle class neighborhood now will be run down and damn near low class 20 years from now.

People in Lafayette are generally nicer than people in Baton Rouge. But when you get one of those assholes that won't let down the hatred for LSU, it can be a miserable experience to have to hear everytime you're talking about sports. Jay Walker is without a doubt, LSU degree or not, one of the ringleaders of that movement.

I live in Lafayette, and I have family involved with ULL athletics... Just what I was told.
