it is unrealistic to think that the SEC changed the schedule so that Bama could have a chance to win back to back national championships.
Nobody said they did.

if alabama was not winning and playing for national titles, would this be an issue at all?

I think the compelling storyline that Kentucky, with a new coach, against the probable #1 team, in the ratings rich 11AM time-slot, made their decision easy...

People are pissed that the schedules aren't fair and that when they get changed, it always works out in Bama's favor. That's it. I didn't see anyone mention National Championships, other than you. But that's not what "your" thread is about, right?
Put the cough medicine down. I'm done wasting my time on this pointless thread.

other teams have the same issue, it's not solely an Alabama LSU thing. See South Carolina last year. Bama complained for years about the number of bye weeks opponents had the week before the game.

and next year they have 3 byes. i have never seen a schedule with 3 byes on it before. lol

Upset that your thread didn't go the way you thought?
Make the thread title more descriptive next time.
Not getting in a knot when people are simply trying to explain how they interpreted the thread would help too. You sound like a 10 year old.

You seem to want to argue about common opponents, so I'll oblige.
Your argument seems to be that things cycle out over time, and I would contend that Tennessee is never going to be on equal terms with Florida til the end of time.
Tenn requires too much OOS recruiting to ever stay consistently competitive with Florida. Florida had Zook as a coach, came to BR against the almighty himself, when He had a national championship team, and beat LSU 19-7.
Tennessee had Peyton fricking Manning, and lost 4 in a row to Florida.
There are 128 Div I schools that play 12 games a season. It's impossible to make perfectly fair and equitable schedules to determine a national champion. The least the SEC, winner of the last 6 NC's, could do is make sure they don't imbalance their own conference schedule this severely.
Div I football is the only sport that doesn't determine its champion on the field, court, track, etc. So, for those of us who have yearned for an equal playing field that could determine a true national champion, this latest development within our own conference is a difficult one to comprehend.
And yet, people like yourself, point to the fact that we control our own destiny everytime we take the field. Do you mean like last year when we went undefeated, including Tuscaloosa and an extra game at Georgia in their Dome?
Posted on 12/3/12 at 6:34 pm to wahoocs
we did control our destiny. unfortunately, we got blown out in the championship game.

LSU had to go 14-0.
Alabama went 12-1.
You have to be a Democrat. Only plausible explanation.

and we won a title with 1 and 2 losses and bama had to play an extra game with uga in their dome.
