Gonna be tough to field top quality teams with one donater/supporter. He may be rich but he's still only a fraction.

They can all get bent at this point.

Who made the appointments responsible for the current King administration?

OK........Jindal takes the blame for the quality/professionalism of these upper administrators....I'll concede that to you. However, I don't think Jindal (republican) would have bowed to the wishes of an ultra left wing group like PETA.

No one's bent the knee to anyone yet...your article actually quotes an admin saying we're likely to keep the tradition.

And the guy who would have to bend the knee, the guy called out in your OP, is a Jindal guy.

For believing you're so in the know, you don't seem to understand how the BoS works.

Most of these "academic" types are (as you know) very liberal/left wingers (even though they may have been appointed by a republican governor. No question that F King is a democrat, etc. I don't know the political party of the current BOS, but in the past, most of them were democrats (even though appointed by a republican governor). I think without a republican governor looking over their shoulder, they (F King, BOS, etc) would bow to PETA, etc.

I'm sure, just like everything else you've said in this thread, you can back that up. Jindal was just great for LSU /s

We need to get that freaking tiger from that rundown truckstop. Why the fudged should truck drivers be the only ones to enjoy a damp tiger.

Someone needs to put a hit on hippy fig?? Macintosh504, you are an idiot!! So, you are calling for someone to kill the president of Louisiana State University. Do you realize that you may get in trouble for saying such. I may not agree with decisions made by him, but I don't advocate for the killing of someone. Do you have kids? How would you feel if they did the same as you? And don't come back with some stupid response. You can't even spell. I assume you meant to say "fig" Purely idiotic!

Hey, A Republican helped put F King in his position of power. The stupidity of the people on this site sometimes never ceases to amaze me.

I thought there were tons of tigers that need rescued from a - holes who buy a cub and then realize on wait this grows to be a full size tiger and probably not appropriate to roam my living room

"LSU can not receive the accreditation because it would be categorized as a single-animal exhibit. Vernon also referred to the association’s animal transfer policy, under which endangered animals like tigers are relocated based on a carefully monitored breeding plan based on promoting the species."

Looks like we need a breeding pair EOT

Fund raising op to bring the sanctuary to the next level and get what we need done to be accredited. Plus it looks like we considered things before we jumped into with the next one. We should get accredited put our money where I mouth is with the better then zoo claims

If Mike the Tiger isn't replaced, it won't affect my life that much, but then why did we spend all that damn money? If you're going to spend millions of dollars on a tiger cage, there needs to be a tiger in there.

I know there is a hot debate of whether we should have a live tiger as a mascot or not. I don't care to get in that discussion. With that said, the administration should have evaluated this issue and made a long term decision BEFORE spending millions of dollars to build his habitat. You don't build the damn thing and then decide to evaluate whether to get a new tiger or not. This is disturbing.

The money for the Tiger cage (I think) was mostly/all private money. Saban's wife was involved with that. The main issue of this thread is that I believe the upper administration at LSU is "running this up the flag pole" to see how it flies. They think we are stupid......I don't think we are!!

Thanks for the explanation.

With that said, whether it was private money or not it seems that the first step should have been to evaluate the long term usage of the facility.
