I’m ok with Mainieri hiring former players in some roles, but your pitching and hitting coaches should be legitimate experienced coaches. Could you imagine in Mainieri hired some random former player as his pitching coach instead of Dunn.

A couple things you can count on: Hughes will get a nice hit when it no longer matters and either Beau or Slaughter will yank a homer when it no longer means anything.
