Again LSU beat Seton Hall, who beat Depaul on the road, who beat Auburn on the road.
Point being is
LSU > Auburn

Auburn will be a hard game for LSU. Looks like a toss up.

I see that JOB played 5 min. Was that jut CJJ giving him some minutes before we head to Auburn?

He gave him a few minutes to see how he felt, and after watching JOB play terribly, he had seen enough. JOB was half the player he usually is.

Must be that loss to 7-6 South Alabama, 9-7 Mercer or their best one yet, 6-7 Auburn

Trying to see I think where he's at, and he certainly didn't look like a guy who could play well in 4 days...I hope I'm wrong and he was just unmotivated rather than still hurt.

Auburn is a bit of an enigma. Athletic but prone to inconsistency. Undisciplined and poorly coached but capable of putting together a good game here and there....evidenced going to a legit Illinois team's gym and taking them to the wire.
I'll say if we don't nut up against the half-court and full court traps that we looked unprepared for today and never seemed able to consistently adjust to, Auburn certainly has the athleticism to make those things hurt us more than Bethune Cookman. And make no mistake, BCU hurt us pretty consistenlty with those things.

I didn't get to see the game today but I was wondering about the team sort of struggling today against B C. I see where they played well in spurts was this due to cjj trying different rotations in preparation for sec play

C.J. stated post game he thought maybe his substitutions contributed to the periods of stagnant play.
But none of the combinations consistently solved Bethune Cookman's half-court traps and full court presses. And that's something that JOB3 playing more would not have solved.
And that's a concern for me going forward.
It's not like it caught us by surprise. That's how BCU plays. I'd have thought we'd be better able to negotiate that.
Very sloppy and uneven performance today. We got a late technical and a 10-0 run the last 1:45 that made the score look a bit more respectable than it was.

If we are better than Auburn, it isn't by THAT much. I was only being a rantard because it's Garrison

Noted. It's a pretty even match talent-wise and it's at their place. But Auburn's one of the few gyms deader than ours and I actually think they probably play better on the road in games where there's some life in the place.
And I'm still watching and learning about how good of a bench coach/gameplanner I think CJJ is, but I think I've seen enough of Auburn's Calipari disciple that Johnny might have a bit of an advantage in that matchup.
Interested to see how we'll play.

CJJ mixes up a ton of personnel in games we should win like today. Against Marquette and Boise he put the best guys, that weren't in foul trouble, on the court for the majority of the second half.

But there was a key point in that game where he took Stringer and Hickey out right after we took the lead, and we went right back down by 8. That was key.
