SoS, saw you mention CBI tourney. I know the stance of the Athletic Department in previous seasons at least was they were not going to pay to play in a tourney which is what that tourney is. So if it is CBI or bust will be interesting to see what they do.

I am hoping we get an NIT bid at least, but I could see Jones pushing for us to go to CBI. With a young team who didn't even get to play a full schedule, any live action would be better than none.

I think we have a chance at NIT. Just end the season with a winning record and a couple decent wins.

Well I fapped twice before even leaving the PMAC. The fapping didn't stop really all night. I stopped changing out my under-britches because I didn't want to have to do that much laundry.

my worry is our depth. you could see we were gassed in the second half. we were a step slow on rotations and lazy passes started. I have a feeling jones will turn us around next year. I still think we could have a nice run this year but I think next year and beyond jones has us in a good place

Exactly. This team has some talent and plays their asses off every night. The depth is just going to cost us a few of these close games (and already has). JOB gets especially worn down just because he's asked to do so much in the post. Makes last night's win all the more impressive because you could see how exhausted the team was, but they did not cave in.

Love the direction the program appears to be headed. More folks need to get out to the games and join in because it's a great time.

I still say we make a huge run in the sec tournament. As long as we don't have to play on the first day it is very possible.

On offense, LSU had their most efficient game of the season
The first half was great. The ball movement and player movement unlike I've seen this year.

The second half we got a bit stagnant, and relied a bit too much on one-on-one, but fortunately for us Hickey was on and the efficiency stayed at a good level.

Now is the fun part, looking forward. I started to think yesterday that if we win the Missouri game, the schedule starts to look really nice for LSU.
Always risky to look ahead.
We've now won back one of the two games we threw away (South Carolina and Georgia) earlier. We get one more like this and the NIT looks very reasonable again.

I figure we need 7 wins in the SEC with 1-2 tournament wins or 8 wins in the SEC with 1 tournament win to feel pretty good about getting into the NIT.

Looking at the schedule I think we could be right around there.

Definitely made up one of the bad losses. I think we can feel pretty good about our SEC start if we win the next two. Damn we shoulda won at least 1 of those 3 bad losses.

Like I said yesterday, the schedule looks wide open from here on out. We have gotten Florida, Kentucky and 1/2 of Mizzou out of the way.

If a few shots fall our way we could be at least 4-3 in the conference. But it still is exciting moving forward

Just noticing that Anthony Hickey took over the lead in scoring for LSU. He's Averaging 12.4 points per game

I don't know, I think it's even risky for those of us who invest so much emotion. If we look ahead with too much zeal or unrealistic optimism it tends to disappoint us when not met.

But definitely much more encouraged than after that Georgia debacle.

I'm ready to see ole miss' Henderson get curb stomped by Patric young. That kid urks me such a simple game plan of baseline cuts and crazy 3 pointers. Everyone shows him too much respect as a shooter and he just draws fouls. Easy to score 19 a game when you take 40 shots. But I hope we handle miss st. I remember last year when we started their downward spiral like I think Missouri is going to start doing. But nevertheless

He's all about him, no doubt. I have no interest in seeing his hype fulfilled.

If this Ole Miss team is typical of Kennedy's other 6 they will hit a bad stretch and Henderson ain't a kid who strikes me as one who is a uniter that will keep that thing together through the rough patch.
