Reid holds this team back , shareef has shown he can give you more than reid why doesn't he play

With them short on bodies and no true point guard I don’t really get the logic to not press your arse off for 40 minutes

Can you effectively press with so many in foul trouble with refs with quick whistles?

The 8 minute scoring drought in the second half while they go on a 14-0 run is gonna be so gay

Like S has been saying. LSU pressed too much against crappy half court teams like A&M and South Carolina but didn’t press enough against Kentucky in a game when it would have made a difference.
You've got to make baskets to set up the press.

I wish this LSU team would give effort for the full 40 minutes.
Shut the frick up. This team played their hearts out for 40 minutes against a team of 5 star players and got shite on by the officials. They don't need "fans" like you to drop a double deuce on them.

A) do you really think Murray played hard? How would you describe Eason’s play tonight?
B) we have 5 star players on the floor also. Ours just pass the ball when we are 3 feet from the goal instead of dunking.
C) the refs weren’t the reason we lost. We make stupid fouls all the time. It’s in our DNA.

Cool bro. I know you're white knighting and all but go watch Murray and Eason on the replay and tell me about all of that tremendous effort. Murray looked like he didn't give a frick for 39 minutes of a 40 minute game. I watched him get beat to the ball 4 times on long rebounds, I watched him not go up and get a rebound under the rim 3 times and Kentucky scored an easy put back on all three. One of those he was called for a foul because his effort was so lazy he just tried to tip the ball on the Kentucky shooter. I watched him try to hipcheck another rebounder and not even attempt to defend the shot. I watched Murray airball a wide open shot from the foul line. I also watched Murray get beat easily on the press three or four times with the Kentucky guard just skipping right past him. He didn't give shite for effort tonight.

I’m very appreciative they covered. I had hopes for the win but I felt like they would at least cover.

There ain't one, folks.
The 2-2-1 is the normal one. It's designed to slow the other teams down and create turnovers by trapping when the other teams make bad choices. A lot of the time it will look like it's just full court man to man because the guy with the ball is skilled enough advance it by himself/beat his man as soon as the other front man starts to show he's coming to trap. It's how we get most of the turnovers.
The 1-3-1 full court is the one that is actively trying to create turnovers by aggressive trapping.
Prolly won't be tomorrow but I am fricking sick of this team tonight.
Picked for middle of the SEC pack and that's what they look like. Replacing 3 NBA players and making the Big Dance anyway doesn't look so bad right now. But prolly not tommorrow...
