From start to finish, I really do think he played the best game, but it certainly won't show in the stat book. Dotson played well early, tapered off, then sort of made some costly mistakes at the end of the game. Turner started slow but then started playing well. Stringer had a solid outing.

Pretty much agree with all of this. Dotson played very well but did falter a bit at the end.

I say in two years we compete for the sec title. Exciting to think of the future with football and basketball>

If we'd shot better at the line the outcome of this game could've been much different. Eliminate the usual cold spell and we win easily.

It also looks like TJ has been emphasizing ball control at practice. The last two games haven't had near as many stoopid turnovers as the first two. This team has potential.

Basketball and it's post season format play way different than football, thank goodness. I was impressed and think this team will improve upon today and be a surprising team in the SEC this year.

I just got back from the game. I thought LSU played really well. Very, very tight officiating hurt us with our lack of depth, but overall, I thought the offensive flow was very solid. Too many defensive lapses in the paint down the stretch killed us as our lack of athleticism in the post was our undoing. Big improvement from last week, though.

As much as I like about what Trent brings, I've never been a fan of Trent's man-to-man defense even when we won the SEC his first year. The defensive help and rotation has always seemed almost non-existent..to the point where sometimes I wonder if it's even taught.

But today we actually rotated and helped well to the point where we took about 3 charges. I don't recall ever seeing that from Trent's defense.

But they seemed to forget all that in the last 3 minutes and lapsed back into the watch them drive in when they beat their man off the dribble defense.

I'm very disappointed in Storm's play to this point. I expected more from White. Knew he wasn't a star but I thought he'd bring more prescence and toughness down low.

That was an unpleasant surprise. Nichols will probably win their conference but we should never lose to a Southland Conference team.

I think we have some good young players on the team and will get better as the year goes on. But we have to get better play from Storm and White.

What will it take for LSU to out recruit Memphis?

I thought bringing TJ in was going to help us with recruiting those types of players-
