This. Although I don’t know what could really be done at this point in the season.

Literally anything would be better than doing nothing.

But my preference would be for Manieri to swallow his pride and do whatever he has to do to get Theriot back involved with the program.

I know there’s no love lost there but he’s in your backyard, he’s qualified and he loves the program. He needs to make it happen

This season is hitting the same beats as 2016 with the football team. Bunch of veterans came back instead of going pro, high expectations, and we even had the #1 recruiting class (*snicker*). That led to Les Miles' firing. Wonder if lightning strikes twice...

We think tonight is sad what about tomorrow? State has a freshman who passed on first round money to attend State. They say he is pronominal. Throws in mid 90's. After being shut down tonight whats the odds we do better tomorrow?

I can't believe the players-only meeting didn't increase the level of talent and coaching on the team. SHOCKING!

Nonexistent coaching, bad recruiting, horrible roster and lineup construction, veterans acting like rookies, the worst in-game decision making possible.

It’s insane to me the number of guys in this program that you haven’t seen improve. I mean looks at Duplantis career, .327, .316, .328, .298. Watson is hitting better this year, .317, .308, and now .353. But has he really gotten better or was he on a hot streak because he’s hitting .250 in his last 4 SEC games. Cabrera, while he’s been good, hasn’t lived up to preseason expectations. Hughes still sucks. Broussard still sucks.

Talent displayed this year is vastly inferior to what is expected at LSU! I was super excited to see Watson, Dups, Hess, and Smith(back from injury) return and the #1 ranking seemed legit but this team is in disarray, a veritable sh!t show on the diamond and at the plate! Yes I know it's early and things have improved drastically with PM teams over the course of the season, but this is a veteran team that shouldn't be playing so poorly!

That's kind of what I've been holding out hope for, but I have to admit, it's incredibly hard for me to see Hughes, Broussard, and Mathis becoming anything but what they currently are.

I guess best case scenario is Garza gets healthy, takes over Mathis behind the plate. He may not be a guy that's going to get .300, but I guess even what he's currently hitting (.238) is better than Mathis hitting .174. Then Dugas comes back and can take over at 2B. I'm not sure what he would hit, but again it has to be better than the .194 and .213 that Hughes and Broussard are doing.

Kinda hard to improve with no hitting coach.
