well he got excited early Saturday and is pitching on short rest again, so hopefully that’s a good thing.

I think he only threw 20-30 pitches. I have to believe they'll give him a few innings.

Wtf does pitching matter when the pitcher todays fastball was 87mph and we couldn’t hit it, hell they could throw their waterboy and just not swing at the plate and probably beat us
Posted on 6/2/25 at 12:20 am to friendlyobservation
i am sure they will, but he only threw 35 pitches because he was getting rocked

If we got Kade or AE coming in tomorrow I’m good, but guess what 7 wouldn’t have been enough tonight so unless you have an elite starter this pussy bat shite ain’t gonna work

And YES I’m pissed off, I’m not the one to normally rag out our team but I have seen enough of the lack of leadership from both players and coaches! Complacency with our lineup and bullpen by coaches and the whole “that’s baseball” attitude doesn’t work outside of regular season because now “that’s baseball” gets you one step closer to a pointless 40+ win season

I'll be honest, I don't know what LSU's approach is at the plate but for the past few weeks I've noticed they're taking WAY too many first pitch meatballs down the piper. And I have no idea why all of our hitters were not sitting on that guy's fastball. It was awful and should've been crushed. Nothing about it was special.
If you watch LR they forced all the pitchers to work the count, chased nothing, and waited for their pitch. They were way more disciplined and smarter with how they approached it tonight. They look way better than LSU swinging right now. 30+ runs so far in this regional.

Listen pussy, I watched every game this season, every inning. I don’t need to troll, I need a team with some fire. Tennessee ain’t that good outside of Doyle and the HR ball but god damn do they have fire and are never out of any game and guess where that starts? Yeah at the top

It was disgusting. I was watching on youtube and several fans in the chat were calling it even before the wind-up. There were at least 4 or 5 predictable PERFECT pitches that should have been crushed and they just watched them. I really do think Jay needs an actual hitting coach, but then again....will it make a difference?

I think our hitters right now just are bad. They're not seeing the pitches. Jones is example 1.
Milam is coming out of a slump, Hernandez is looking good and Jones/Braswell single-handedly killed all momentum in multiple innings. If this game is close tomorrow, you're going to have to seriously think about benching defense for more bats because Jones/Braswell are automatic sits. You can't have that in the lineup so you better adjust it tomorrow with your hottest hitters.

Okay, so what else does Jay need to see to make a change at those spots? Because at this point this isn’t a slump for Braswell or Jones this is 30 games that both are batting under .250
Posted on 6/2/25 at 12:33 am to friendlyobservation
Yea but we're talking about guys who have definitely turned it on at some point. So it's not like they've just always been shitty hitters. It's almost like they got bad info.

Put them both down the lineup. All you can do right now. At least you can maybe string together multiple hits with your hotter hitters right now.

So you don’t know who our 4 best pitchers are. gotcha
you don’t think there is some middle ground between 10 and 0?

Wtf are you even talking about? We started our 1b ace and shut them out, Evans and Cowan aren’t doing that and we scored 4 runs tonight, 4 runs on a team that has a losing record in the frickn OVC

we scored 7 Friday against their ace. Tonight wasn’t our night but we hit the ball well. they had a horseshoe up their arse and our pitchers gave them the game.

You can say we gave them the game but we didn’t do a damn thing to win it, we didn’t hit the ball that well considering they guys fastball topped out at 89mph right down the pipe, that should be the equivalent of 13 year olds hitting it off the tee
