Five of the seven available pitchers threw 9 innings and gave up 2 earned runs. Not bad with only one inning by a letterman and the rest by newcomers, IMO.
Has anyone heard if there will be a purple/gold world series this fall? The shortage of pitching will be difficult to work out even if the shutdown pitchers will be allowed to throw.

I’ve heard nothing to the contrary, Scuba. The last email from Micah Gibbs said the last day of Fall practice season will be November 4 but he didn’t mention if it would conclude with the P/G World Series or just regular practices & scrimmages.
