Hate this loss for the team, but they certainly had their chance in the 8th to win it.
Crazy odds did not break their way.
Florida and Wake both made plays in their games to make wins happen. That's what NC-winning teams do.
Wake has scored 6 total runs in Omaha and is 2-0.
Florida needed 3 runs in the 9th to beat UVA.
The combined margin of victory in those 4 wins are 4 runs.

It might not be over tomorrow, but LSU with this pitching staff is no coming back to beat WF 2 straight.
Unless we can somehow get to Friday and Skenes can go again.
I don’t know how we’re gonna get there, though. The arms just aren’t there.

There is no Friday.
LSU has to win Tuesday, Wed, Thurs, then start a 3-game series on Saturday.
NCAA shortened the schedule in the past few years.

Ok, then Thursday, w/ Skenes on short rest. Or pray for rain.
Point stands all the same.

it really has been a hell of a CWS so far
only Tennessee's 2 games have been decided by > 1 run so far in the entire CWS
a 6-3 loss to LSU and a 6-4 win over Stanford
every other game has been a 1-run game

Does Guidry bat well since he will likely be our starting SS next year?

We need a few guys to really step it up tonight, that's for sure.
Coleman/Herring/Guidry perhaps, and the bats seriously need to come alive.

Epilogue:
Make no mistake about this, the Umpire had an agenda. It was not incompetence. As a fan, I feel cheated. We all do.
After having slept on what I witnessed with low ball strikes called on many LSU hitters and the 6th inning walks fiasco, my attention is now drawn to the players.
They played hard and well enough to win. As fans, we don't put in any effort. The players know what happened. Blaming the coaches and players for selective moments in this game is the work of those who would seek to cover up the theft.
The team needs the continued support and appreciation. I am proud of these guys. The team remained classy at the height of this injustice.
This team and other teams have had these things happen to them. Appreciate what this team has done. I am cheering for them right now win or not.
Thank you players and coaches for all the excitement, effort, entertainment, and heart you have shown. You're winners on the field and in life. Geaux tigers, always.

I’m glad the Tigers agreed with us.
