Cool stat/ fact bump:

Jay mentioned this in an interview....

We had a 27 man travel roster for Omaha.

EVERY player we had on the roster played. Jay said he didnt think that had ever been done in a year in a year that team won the whole thing.

That is interesting. Everyone on the roster can say they played in Omaha and won a national championship.

I believe this is also the first LSU team to fight through the loser's bracket and win it all. Considering the championship series went to 3 games, we played 8 games in Omaha, the most possible under the current format.

That is awesome to consider.

Pretty incredible, and also posted with such clarity and impact. Along with your BPB, if chicken isn't paying you, then he should be ashamed.

Chicken did offer me tickets to the Tennessee football game last year, but I had to turn him down. But if he has tickets to the Auburn game this year, then that's another story.

For real I know what you do is volunteer and labor of love category, but you absolutely provide a substantial service to TD. Even if it's on the form of schwag, if I were the great cluckster I'd have to cheerwhine and dine you or something as a show of appreciation.

In other news... How bout them tigers?? With football season approaching my baseball high is starting to fade, but I'm just not ready yet to give it up.

I somewhat recently went through the wheels YouTube chanel, extracted out the good lsu videos then watched through the lsu season in bite sized 10-15min highlighted bits. But now that's through and I'm left wanting...

I may be able to make it to town for that one too, Cheer. We'll have to grab a frosty beverage if the stars align

I hope so too. I'm assuming there will be a baseball scrimmage that Friday, as long as Jay hasn't shut them down for Scuba being too good at what he does. But I'll be there with a Barrett's shirt, so we'll see

Fully agree. I would absolutely lose my grits if I were to do PBP. That probably goes for 95% TD Posters. People talk about Jim Hawthorn but it is so hard to not completely be caught up in the game and remain unemotional. Probably easier to do in this media than live radio or TV though.

I get emotional too, I just don't show it on TD. That MSU game when we blew the lead, for example, I was fuming. I get frustrated with players' performances and question coaching decisions like anyone else, I just have a different outlet for it.

My role (or anyone who does BPB) is to explain what's happening, the game thread will provide more than enough commentary.
