Considering all the adversty this team faced then Mett being less than advertised, Yes I am happy with the end result.

A little down with regard to the pre-season hype, but that's why I hate pre-season hype. We shed starters like underwear (seemingly one a week). We showed up when we needed to and did enough to win with the myriad of underclassmen we had. 2 OL starters (mid-season), 3 DB starters (throughout), and the mysterious stomach ailment and other departures - yes, I'm satisfied with where we finished. 2nd in the SEC W (aka NFL minor leagues). That's good considering a first year starting QB.
I don't like the bowl selection, but given our success, I get the fussiness with it. I personally wish we'd have got the Gator or Outback, just to roll a Big 10 team. Don't mind Chicken Bowl, just can't stand to listen to the Clemson crap again......
Anyway, there's my rant.

Holy shite. I just read through 7 pages of moronic answers to the OP. Most of you fools need to do a little soul searching and find out what is truly bothering you so much. I find it hard to believe that some of you are capable of being mature emotionally.
That being said, I believe most of these responses are rooted in frustration with A) the bowl bid and B) where Alabama is going.
If Alabama loses the NC, these idiots won't be so upset. It is asinine to let what Alabama does bother you people so much. They have our old coach. So what? He's a great coach and he is not coming back to LSU. Get over it.
Oh, and I believe Nuts4LSU posted that he supports the way Alabama does things, and basically said that he would be OK with LSU going through a period like Bama did between 1992 and 2008 if it meant finally getting lucky and finding someone like Saban. That is just fricking moronic.

Actually, in 2005, I predicted 9-2 or 10-1, then Katrina hit and I revised it to 6-5. Then the team persevered amazingly and went 10-1, NOT 9-2. Hell, I missed on a prediction of the future at least. You can't even "predict" the past. What a fricking joke.

I said we would continue to hand Alabama national championships like we have for the last two years. That doesn't preclude beating them. Les has proven he can find a way to hand them a national title even when he beats them.

Kudos on your prediction of a Peach Bowl appearance this preseason. You sure were ahead of the game on all those of us who picked us preseason #1. My prediction, by the way, was 12-0 and a national title. So yes, it was pretty shitty. I do have a tendency to be over overly optimistic about LSU football. I'll have to work on that.
