maybe if Tulane ever develops a pulse again

anywhere else and LSU would get it used against them in recruiting. it's the kind of scheduling that should get us kicked out of the SEC

Other than the Superdome and Independence Stadium where could we go in-state that would be worth it to us?

Let's say for the sake of argument that the legislature gets a wild hair up their collective butts, and makes LSU schedule a game in both New Orleans and Shreveport annually.

There is no foreseeable scenario where this would be beneficial to LSU. All it would do is boost the smaller in-state schools at LSU's expense.

LSU would lose out on millions so not gonna happpen

And the other team probably wouldn't be able to make more than the 400K we give for coming here.

You are worried about pay per view????? The impact that that has over what a home game would bring to LSU is nothing.

I think this is the only scenario that could possibly work.

Play against a school like Tech or NSU in Shreveport with a capacity of ~50-55 k. LSU could still get the home share.

BR and LSU would lose out on tourism revenue, though. Also, Shreveport is notorious for not supporting sports, so there's no guarantee that it would be completely sold out.

only in TS...

but we will only sign the contract for a game two years down the line if TU or Tech are ranked at the time. that's my condition

and if they go through the next season without being ranked at all, the game gets moved to TS

that way they earn it

EDIT: other than Tulane, the last LSU in state road game was against Centenary in 1932

others were LA Tech in 1901, 1903, 1904, 1908, and 1913; ULL in 1902, 1913, and 1916; and Loyola in 1925

That's the biggest argument against this notion now.

A lot, and I can't stress this enough, A LOT, of BR-area businesses had their collective noses out of joint about LSU giving up a home game for the Cowboy Classic. A great many of which are either owned or operated by LSU alums.
