You know, there are better ways to determine that than just youtubes....

We have stadium noise recorded by TV mics at 129.8 dB. Threshold of pain is 130.

Good luck finding a stadium that beat that total.

I'll agree with Swamp and Samford. But Auburn simply doesn't have the numbers. Bama and Tenn are deathly quiet IMO

The Clemson/Miami game broke the preivious LSU record in 2005 with a decibel record 126.6. That record was broken in the afformentioned game in 07 with 129. I've been to games at both LSU and Clemson. LSU had my nod for the loudest stadium until that Clemson/Miami game in 05' That was by far the loudest I've ever heard any stadium in my life. I would've loved to have heard the Florida game last year from 07' that you speak of. Must have been ear shattering.

Read the comments under the youtube clip of Bama's punt return and you will see why LSU has a new rival in f*#%ing Alabama. Those POS think that their new Coach is the Savior of LSU. Since he is gone, LSU will never win another game. Of course now that he is at Bama, they will win the SEC every year.

Hey Gumps, Miles is 34-6, and has finished 3 straight years in the top 5. We ain't goin' nowhere. Nice 7-6 season, you could have saved money and let Shula do that. Go Warhawks!!

ive been to most stadiums in the country and LSU is the loudest and Texas A&M the second loudest.
Auburn is underrated and Florida is overrated - but i have never been to a night game at the Swamp just lots of day games where the heat and humidity zaps the crowd energy. And the pom poms aka shakers at Bama and Auburn are very impressive esp on tv

You have no idea. I yelled for a good 30 seconds, and then my jaw just dropped in awe of the momment of how loud and how long it lasted. Also because I was in the middle of the student section, I was skirting that threshold and it actally started to hurt my ears.

Don't be fooled by the deceptively close numbers between Clemson's old record and LSU/UF game. dB is a log scale, not linear. So those 3 points difference in dB means that UF/LSU game was more than TWICE as loud as your Clemson game.

Which makes me wonder what shitty seating must some people have in the other thread to not list that as their unanimous #1 loudest game. There is no contest, and it is not a matter of opinion.

Yea, that's where all the noise is....THE UPPER DECK.

It's also imposible because each individual camera is going to output different sound levels.

Homor or not, I love their white-outs.

And, I'm not a Penn State fan, but that "We are, Penn State" just got me pretty jacked up, haha.

Oregon is by far the loudest I've ever been to. I've never had a worse headache than I did leaving the SC-Oregon game last year. If they decided to bump up capacity to about 70,000 which they've been talking about doing, I can't even imagine how crazy the Autzen Zoo would be

Wrong. The record was set at the USC v. Oregon game last year.

I only clicked on the Clemson, Oregon and LSU links; however, the first problem I noticed with these is that you are not making accurate comparisons. The Oregon video appears to be filmed from a camera about 30 rows from the field

That' actually near upperdeck; Autzen doesn't have a whole lot of rows; the seats our on top of the field so what looks really close is actually one of the furthest seats from the field.

I took my Dad to the Cal v. Oregon game at Autzen last year and sitting right next to each other we couldn't even talk unless we crouched down to the ground; he said the stadium just exhausts you...standing all game and hearing that jet engine ringing in your ears...we both had massive headaches...couldn't imagine going to every game and enduring that every Saturday but sometimes wish the Coliseum was loud like that.
