How confident are you that.....

1- Ohio State will run the table vs Michigan State, @ Michigan and the Big 10 title game - OR Iowa will win out and win the Big 10?

2- the round-Robin of Big 12 play with Okie State, TCU, Baylor and Oklahoma will end with one team undefeated?

3- That Stanford loses to Notre Dame and then Utah in the PAC-12 championship game?

How confident are you that two of these three scenarios will happen?

It is futile to hope for a better past.
It's time to focus on Arkansas. Aside from an undefeated season or beating a certain team, going 10-1 puts LSU at a door to attain every other goal the team has. It's shut right now, but there is by no means a padlock on it.

What I would like to see is LSU get possessed and absolutely dominant the remainder of the opponents.. They do that and they will really turn some heads.

Sure I would be happy with just winning all three.. but it would really go a long ways to crush these remaining games.

I'm 100% confident a conference champion will be in the playoffs, 4 of them, no matter what, unless Ok St goes undefeated then it will be 3 and them that's it.

I don't believe we'll make the playoff. And it's not because we lost, it's because our players and coaches got handled and quit when they had every reason imaginable to play their hearts out.

But perhaps it is a learning moment and they can turn it around. Fournette's attitude, if it comports with his pressers, is encouraging. Maybe we still make the Sugar Bowl.

If Will Redmond didn't get hurt, I think State could compete. I like how they much up offensively.

But I think Coker and the Bama offense is too much

1) Clemson

2) Ohio State

^ Those spots are all but guaranteed. Would be absolutely shocked if either lost. That being said, it can't hurt us if they lose. After them its alot of one loss teams. Best case scenario: either stanford or Utah lose a game, then the other one lose in the P12CG. Stanford beats Notre Dame, OKstate, Baylor, TCU, Oklahoma all beat each other up. We win out.

In that case since you're so confident, I got $10,000 that says if Notre Dame wins out, there will not be 4 conference champions in the playoffs.

Alabama coming off a physical game against us going to Starkville, I could see an upset there.

I know that OU and TCU already have a loss, just meaning those four teams still have to play each other in the coming weeks.

Would love to see OU win out.

As for Notre Dame.....I agree with you Stanford winning could be good for us too. One team for sure get eliminated.

Four of these five are IN if they happen.

Clemson (as undefeated ACC Champ)

Alabama (as 1-loss SEC Champ, Florida or LSU in as well, but likely lower seeded)

Undefeated Big Ten Champ (Ohio State or Iowa)

Undefeated Big 12 Champ (Okie State or Baylor)

1-loss Pac Ten Champ (if Stanford ) OR Notre Dame)

Now here’s where it becomes a real complicated case…You know, a lot of ins, a lot of outs, a lot of what-have yous.

1-loss Big 12 Champ (if Baylor or Oklahoma State)

1-loss non-champion LSU

1-loss Big Ten Champ (if Ohio State)

1-loss Pac-12 Champ (If Utah)

1-loss Big 12 Champ (if TCU or Oklahoma)

1-loss ACC Champ (Clemson or UNC) …team would have likely lost to South Carolina!

1-loss Big Ten Champ (Iowa, Michigan State)

2-loss Pac 12 Champ (Stanford, Utah)

2-loss Notre Dame or Alabama

2-loss Big 10 Champ (Michigan)

No doubt- the committee will probably not want two teams for the same conference. Based on that and the fact that the Big 12 got left out last year, I think one-loss Baylor or Okie State with a “quality loss” would get in over 1-loss LSU…though there always could be some pro-LSU sentiment because of 2011. Ohio State could also be in the discussion based on the manner of loss – although the overall weakness of their schedule hurts them.

Assuming Bama wins out, LSU’s loss (#2 Bama) would be much better than Utah’s (18 to USC) Oklahoma’s (Texas) or TCUs (20 points to Okie State, who would obviously fall in rankings). 1-loss ACC Champs would be UNC (South Carolina) beats Clemson in title game or Clemson loses to South Carolina the week before. 1-loss Iowa as Big 10 Champ most likely is loss to Nebraska, which would also be 1-loss Michigan State’s.

Obviously, there is a LOT of football left to be played.
