A number of LSU players have been sporting beards during preseason camp, with various degrees of success. Fullback J.C. Copeland recently boasted to reporters that he has the best beard on the team, a claim that defensive tackle Anthony “Freak” Johnson scoffed at. “Man, I’ve had this beard since I was 12,” Johnson said. “I have the best beard on the team.”

was just about to post the same thing.

Let's look at this positively, it could just be a precaution. Knowing he's injury prone, the coaches don't want to risk anything in a scrimmage. All in all, how important is his health in the outcome of the season? I think it's huge, Eugene is a good player but Loston has the talent to be a gamechanger.

If we just tape his toes, legs, arms and head before each practice he should be good.

In all seriousness, I hope this is the only injury and there is a quick recovery because I believe we need him, but he's certainly not going to shake the injury-prone label anytime soon.

Christ, some guys just are more fragile than others. Hopefully, he bounces back soon. I've always been a fan of Poppa.
