I agree that it's more probable that LSU does not win an SEC title next season. I'm just saying that they might, and that it wouldn't really be that big of a shock if they did.
It would be the biggest shock in college football of the last 20 years. Appy State over Michigan was nothing compared to what LSU winning the SEC in 2010 would be. LSU is MUCH more likely to go winless in SEC play than to win the SEC title in 2010.

It seems like a lot less of a long shot than 2001 was, for example.
No it doesn't. LSU was considered a strong contender for the West going into the 2001 season. We were the highest ranked team in the West (or very close to it) in the preseason. 2001 was almost a huge disappointment when we almost DIDN'T win the west.

Wow. Just wow. This is the front runner for dumbest thing said on the Rant this offseason. More likely to be winless than win the title? Really? You can't honestly believe that.

Nuts predicted LSU would go 3-8 in 2005 after the Tennessee game...or maybe it was 06 after the Auburn game

I recognize the record is the record and that you’ve got to score points and move the football and if you can’t run the ball, it’s not a happy day.
