No, the visiting team doesn't have any say as far as uniform colors. The home team alone decides what color they will wear. The rule changed years ago.

Like the unis but I've always wanted to see LSU in the normal helmet and jersey with white pants. That would be sick.

They didn't wear them last year either. Our purple shirt game last year was USM and it was this same white/ purple/ white.
I believe the gold/ purple/ gold combo has been retired. Even though it looks good, the Tigers don't play good in them. Look at all the losses back in the Archer and Hallman regimes, as well as all the close calls in recent years, against bad teams, while wearing this combo.

I see two SEC titles in '86 and '88 and a Sugar Bowl bid after the '84 season while wearing that combo at home. We won the Earthquake Game in that combo. There's nothing wrong with that uniform. It's better than the purple and white.
Furthermore, we didn't lose all of those games in the Archer and Hallman because of the gold/purple combo at home. We lost because they were bad coaches who helped lead the program to the bottom.
