First time going. Well, I am possibly going next week if we make it that far. What’s the best airport to fly into, and best place to stay. I don’t mind driving an hour or so if that’s best. Maybe we need a stickie for the first timers

Best airport is prolly LAX and if money is tight check out The Four Seasons. Should find something reasonable.

Have a blast!

Fly into Omaha, the next closest is Kansas City or Des Moines.

Stay whereever you can get a room at this point.

Years past it was “some” less expensive to stay in council bluffs, Iowa.

I’d just check hotel sites but book direct with which ever brand you decide. Dont go through Expedia or the like just in case — at least I’ve heard if there ar ever issues you get better service if booked direct.

Des Moines.

Smaller airport.
Easy to navigate.
The drive is less than two hours and all interstate.

The CWS is the best sporting event bar none.

And what about tickets? I have hotel for the championship (optimistic!) but have heard conflicting stories about tickets....Bleacher seats $200+ on ticketmaster. Can I expect to do better?

From what I gathered, as teams lose… prices go down

Buy tickets 30-60 minutes before the game.
