Looking for recommendations for Texas weekend

The boys and I are coming down for the Texas game for our yearly football trip this year. We're from Wisconsin and love coming down to a SEC game every year. We'll be down Thursday night, to do some golfing friday morning, then look for some bars to hangout at Friday night. For Gameday, we usually just grab a case of beer and wander around the tailgate lots, where is the best place to do this? Or would we be better off paying for a tent of our own?
Any other recs for Bars, Golf Courses, Restaurants, etc. would be appreciated.

Skip the tent, walk around and you can find plenty that will be willing to give you food and drink
Golf Courses - City Park and Webb Park are two public courses not far from campus
Further out Santa Maria or Pelican Point
Bars - Mid City Beer Garden and Cypress Coast Brewery
Restaurants - Chimes right by campus with a huge beer selection

Book your tee time now. Santa maria and beaver creek are decent public courses in BR. Both are pretty far from campus. Webb and City park are pretty crappy.
Bars I would check out the overpass area Friday night. Ivars and Zee Zee's are solid spots with Duvics as a third option. Also some decent restaurants on that stretch of Perkins road.
For tailgating grab some beer and check out the Indian Mounds area then watch the team then band march down victory hill. Skip the parade grounds. All fraternity tents. Get out to tailgate early. You will have a good time. Leaving the game will be a logistical nightmare.

Y’all could go to Fred’s in Tigerland if you want to check out the college bar scene. It’ll be a mix of older college kids and some recent grads. You probably won’t want to stay for the whole night, but might be interesting if you are curious on that part.

Not sure if yall are the gambling type, but there’s a couple of Casinos not far from campus. You have L’auberge on River Road going towards St. Gabriel and then you have Bally’s in Downtown.
