I think its nearly impossible to not be overconfident with all the National Media blowing smoke up Lsu and Fournette's arse. I just hope nobody in Lsu Locker room is buying into it

Dumb....this is the kind of stupidity that gets you beat. There's a fine line between disrespect and overconfidence.

Overconfidence is believing you are better than you actually are. Seeing as a whole that the ceiling of any LSU team is belief in a National Title, I'd say that overconfidence does not exist. Cockiness, disrespect, arrogance, etc...are all different stories.

There is no such thing as overconfidence.

wow - that's just dead wrong.

Not taking an opponent seriously is a very dangerous thing, no matter how good you are. We've all seen many, many instances of major upsets, all because the favorite was overconfident and didn't come to play.

It happens every year.

Look, we played phenomenally against Auburn and with extreme intensity. But there's just no way to maintain that intensity level week after week.

It just isn't possible. There are emotional ebbs and flows to a season. We'll get sky high for Bama and maybe a couple more games, but it's just not possible for a team to be sky high for all 12 weeks.

Agreed. It may be this week, may be next week. As everyone says, championship teams get through it. 2011 was different in that sense. I got a feeling his group is the same in that sense.

Had MSU's kicker not sucked this board would be a completely different place this week and LSU would be ranked somewhere between #20-#25.

I also believe we will be 7-0 but I will remain humble until we beat Bama.

I think that Coach O will be the difference this year, he will not let the defense lay down like Chavis and Brick would.
