This is very sad. Sorry to hear about this.
I went to Catholic High in ninth grade (1978). Bryan and I decided to skip school one morning, and we walked from CHS to LSU. He gave me a walking tour of Bernie Moore, Tiger Stadium, Alex Box and the P-Mac.
Even as a freshman in high school, Bryan was a walking LSU encyclopedia. He told me story after story of all the LSU greats.
We spent the whole day on campus, then walked back to school just in time to hop on the bus to head home.
The only bad part was the next day when we had to face Brother Gordian. LOL
RIP friend

The best was when he would turn meteorologist on the sports radio show and it was radio gold!
He would break down the hurricanes and he should have been a weatherman.
RIP

He was in sports talk originally in the early 90's here in BR....at some point around 1995ish he ended up doing some sort of national show out of Las Vegas, ,but it only lasted for a short time and he came back to BR. He was also the Voice of Southeastern Louisiana sports for a little while in the 90's.

So sad to hear, someone said above that he must have been in his 50s. That would be true, Bryan and I had a class or two together back in the day at LSU and I'm 55 so I figure he was close to that age. So very sad, does anyone know if he had been sick? Rest in Peace and prayers for his family and friends.

I knew Bryan also, I did some work with him back in the early 90s and he was 4/5 years older than me. I always considered him to be the first real radio sports guy with a daily show in Baton Rouge that had any real audience. Sorry to hear this. RIP.

Amen to that.......even in 1969 facing Brother Gordian was scary. He could hurl an eraser and God help ya if he cuffed you on back of the neck.

The Brothers at CHS were ruthless during that time. Couldn't get away with stuff they did when I was there back in the 80's. But you learned life lessons and knew how to act and treat others when you left.

He was host of several sports shows over the years. He hosted LSU football's pre and post game shows in the 1980's. He was a sports reporter for WJBO and was student sports editor of the daily Reveille. He also hosted a sport talk show on WIBR in the 1990's. I'm sure many on the Rant knew him..
Has this been validated? When did this happen?

Not to mention Pat Kennedy twirling that pool cue which he could whistle past your ears if you weren't paying attention in his class. He was great

RIP Bryan
Worked with Condon, Hannigriff, Ott & he back in 90's.
Really good guy & he did leave Radio to take over family business.

Per his family, he passed on Friday.

Rather strange that there is no obituary yet if he passed on Friday. You are friends with the family?

Didn't he get an opportunity to host a late night national show? I remember him giving it a try but not lasting very long.....he definitely was good at sports radio.
Yeah, he went to Vegas for a week, wasn't what he thought it would be and he came back.

Loved listening to him back in the day. He was the best on radio at the time.

Ott and Hanny just talking about it. Mentored them and Gordy. I never heard of the guy but I have lived in New Orleans area all of my life. Just started listening to Baton Rouge radio within the last 5 or 6 years.

As someone who knew Bryan very well during our years at LSU, I can confirm that he has indeed passed. Anyone who knew him knows how much he loved LSU, loved sports - especially baseball, and loved his friends.
Without getting personal, he does have a son in high school and other adult children as well as his mother that are grieving.
Big guy - Rest In Peace my friend. You were one of a kind.
