LSU is a much better head coaching job than Tenn is. If Alleva ever realizes that we can be a better team with an actual competent coach, I think several legit coaches would line up for the job immediately, hopefully that time will come after yet another mediocre year

So...you hate Miles so much that you are hoping for another mediocre year from LSU just so you can realize your irrational desire to get rid of him?

Personally, I hope that LSU keeps Miles for decades, because the only way that happens is if he has the team winning championships.

Get your priorities in line, son!

ok, so let's keep the coach no other program in their right mind wants or will ever come after.

Did you ever hear of the University of Michigan?

We could certainly find someone who could manage a football game and put the team in a position to win.

Miles had his team "in a position to win" every game that LSU played this year.

You're an idiot...shortcomings or not, LSU was in a position to win every singe game that they played. Miles gets the credit for that unless you are just being completely irrational.

No...he said that he wanted a coach who could put the team into a position to win games and I'm pointing out the FACT that Miles had the team in position to win every game that they played this year.

why don't you stick with your own message board, fool. I hate when fans of other schools come on here just to pretend to be LSU fans. They always try to talk shite about Miles just to try to make it look like LSU fans are in a meltdown or something. It's funny when they are trying to be incognito but forget to change their avatar!

Tell you what, I'll give you this. But, to be rational, you also have to admit that LSU was in a position to LOSE games to (and got out-coached by) teams it had scheduled as rent-a-wins (LA TECH), and very nearly lost to MSU and Arkansas and Georgia, and that Miles gets the "credit" for that, too.

Les Miles haters assure us that that we can get the best Coach to replace Miles. Yet in two major programs we have not seen that to be true.
On the other hand, how many of these two major programs included the embattled Les Miles on their short list of possible coaches? Ok, then add EC and USF to USC and UT. How many of the 4 have included CLM on their short list? Add TCU to the mix and you've got five. How many wanted Les? Huh? I can't hear you... did you say "none?"

I would take Derek Dooley over Miles

We can all take anyone we want over anyone else and we all due respect to Dooley, but he is 0-2 against Miles by a total score of 82-26.

I'll await his doing something in the WAC before suggesting he can do something in the SEC.

put the avatar up for the mnc game...not the biggest bama fan. try reading some post history before you call someone out because of their team avatar. people are pretty liberal with the avatars around here---if you post for more than a day even you'll learn that.

I get your point, but here's the obvious counterpoint. How would that record look if it were Miles coaching LA Tech and Dooley coaching LSU? You've GOT to factor in the handicap.

USC had to go to to the former Coach of TENN and he was I think their third or 4th choice.

Just living in reality here
Hardly. Those other names were smoke screens to mislead the analysts. Garrett has said Kiff WAS his FIRST choice. Pete also was an advocate of this as well.

Good point.

I don't guess I should tell Tech boy our opponents were crossing their fingers hoping he'd stay?

I concur. High school coaches manage the game better than he does. That is not a lie or an exaggeration, it's the truth.

God you are pathetic. But since I like to amuse myself by debating idiots, how do you know this? How many high school games do you attend a year? How many do you study in depth? How many have you charted time, distance, play selection and result. Where can we see the analysis?

In other words you other than trying to be cool by bashing Miles, what do you know?
