We used to hate the Miles offenses of doing the same plays over and over, regardless of it working or not. But watching a Joe Sloan offense that does the complete opposite, never going back to a play that worked is honestly baffling.

I want you all to think about BK and his behavior.
He was OK with being let go. He knew he had 54 million. All he had to do was not break any cancelation clauses in the buyout, and he was golden. I dont believe he loved LSU or going against SEC opponents every week.
Its pretty obvious to me he was just hanging around collecting retirement, one way or the other.

quote:Kelly wanted out and he used Sloan to get his wish.
Sloan was way out of his league and Kelly 100% hitched his wagon to a moron.

The bread and butter of the 2019 offense was over the middle passing. RPO was a big part of it, but working the crossing routes was key. Crossing routes are essential to a modern offense. The offense that Kelly and Sloan were calling was very Big 10, Les Miles style, but without a power run game to set it up.
