Yeah, that was all on him.
I know he's Nebraska's leading scorer FWIW, but I watched them play Wisconsin at home and it looked like the same old Spencer to me. Something like 2-11, lots of irresponsible jacks, lots of turnovers and few assists.

Yes the coaches are responsible for making sure these kids go to class and keep their grades up

Spencer is playing very well for Nebraska.
He's shooting 38% from the field and 29% from 3. He's also averaging 3 TO per game and under 4 assists per game.
He shoots a lot, plays a ton of minutes per game, and isn't and has never been a team player.

Number 1 Excuse:
Being out-rebounded by over 30 rebounds in the last two games.
The Wildcats looked like they were playing volleyball on the offensive boards.
No defensive rebounds equal to no transition points. Basic Basketball 101!
Looks like defensive adjustments are in 2nd or 3rd gear. One frame above slow motion!

Need to work on toughness, blocking out and grabbin and holding the ball with two hands exclusively all week.
Those are the two things outside repeated poor shot selection that are killing us. I've given up on Trent demanding better shot selection, so better get to work on the other stuff today!
