This guy had an offer from Harvard and now he is going to end up at Last Chance U. Very sad for him.

this is just sad. A little over a year ago he had an offer to attend Harvard and now he'll be spending a year in Scooba Mississippi. Some self-awareness would be a great thing for him.

They don't promise anything at EMCC. John Franklin III transferred to EMCC from FSU and a future walk-on at State started over him. He only got an offer from Auburn because the starter went down with an injury against a scrub team and Franklin had the game of his life (in the one game Auburn scouts were there).

What? He'll be there 1 year and then get recruited to play at a bigger school where he'll still have 3 years of eligibility left. This is a very smart move. He won't have to sit out a year now.

He's not going to "end up" there. He'll probably only be there for 9 or 10 months.

Their backup QB last season wasn't exactly very good, Scott would easily beat him out, and I'm sure some guarantees were made to lure him in. Franklin was never really a QB, just an athlete playing there.
The QB who beat Franklin out ended up walking on mississippi state, and he had a ridiculous season. Was pretty good.

According to the article he'll graduate from EMCC in December and transfer to an FBS program with three years of eligibility. Seems like this is just a way for him to leave LSU and not miss a season of football reps.
Still don't know why he apparently has no interest in Harvard.

Franklin was lured there to play QB, just like he was lured to Auburn to play QB. He didn't switch to WR until this season. If he was just an athlete and wasn't lured with the assumption he'd be the starting QB, he'd have just stayed at FSU and switched to WR 2 years ago

He reminds me of DeAndre Johnson (without the baggage). Which if Johnson was able to get tin FAU. Scott can make it to P5 school.

From my understanding they don't have a QB on the roster. The walk on from last year decided to leave for baseball.

Even better. I think it's clear he wants to actually play football this year, not just practice. Several options will open up for him if he has a good season. And he won't have to sit out.

The entire staff minus the head coach has moved on from there. It may not be the same for LS. I wish all the success for him and will be looking for him in the future.

If Scotts production is anything like D.Johnson's from last year. He'll have P5 schools going after him. The funny thing is I think he's entirely too smart for Buddy Stephens & Bo Wallace.
I'm curious what classes he'll have to take at EMCC. Especially since he is majoring in Information Systems.
