This isn't like when Les took over with Saban's previous 4 years of recruiting classes. He left a loaded roster and a program that was on cruise control as a top 3 tier program.
It cannot be overstated how badly O ran our program into the ground. This situation is closer to what Saban took over initially, the biggest difference being that the program now is in worse shape than what Saban inherited from DiNardo.

I’m talking about your fricking candy coated dream world bullshite. Riley was never coming here. Because of that, Williams was never coming here. Ewers was also never coming here. We had just as much of a chance at Bryce Young as any of the above- 0.00%.
I don’t like Daniels either, but who else was out there? Dart isn’t tearing it up passing at OM and he was really the only other guy available in the portal who could have been a possibility when we were looking?
