How would you feel if he came out instead and said "don't stay home kids, these old white folks don't like you around here anyways. Get out while you can".

I would take him about as seriously as I do with his pro-LSU statements. Which is to say, not much at all.

Regardless of your feelings, this is great press for LSU recruiting. Kids listen to his music all the time and have been for years. He's about to be one of the top rappers in the industry for the next three years, so get used to him.
One of the biggest up and comers just endorsed our school. You don't have to like him or his music, but you can still appreciate that this is good for LSU.
You can disagree over politics or whether he should still be in jail, but it's undeniable that this is press for LSU recruiting and it's good press.
Even if he did go to prison, he's a star. Kids listen to stars, so ...
