Take this fwiw, but this is coming from a guy in the east who's friends with LF's dad, Dookey. Fournette will play in two games. Vs Bama "full throttle" and Ole Miss seems to be the other one. Shall they win out through these he will keepe playing to help the team win the SEC. But he will continue to sit when it doesn't matter. They want to beat Bama and he will play at 100%.
Also, they aren't fans of Coach O.

I hope this isn't true because if it is I would not play him one more down the rest of the season.. Screw that attitude and letting players dads dictate when someone will play and when they will not.

Again, I just hope this isn't true..

THIS. Y'all need to harden the frick up. The dude is a straight up competitor. No way in HELL this dude sits the whole season. Let him heal. All I know is, Ole Piss better be ready...

I think people are reading way too much into Coach O's remark that LF is questionable this week.

Players were off Fri-Sun and as of noon yesterday CEO hasnt met with any of the players nor training staff. CEO said he didnt know the status so just list him as questionable.

LF did warm up and stretched and ran around a little prior to the Missouri game.

I think he'll practice this week, maybe as early as today or wed

He was running strip drills for the running backs before the game.

He has an insane amount of rust to knock off in a short period of time.

He/the coaches are taking every precaution. The Heisman is gone, as most likely are our SEC/playoff hopes. Combo that with guice balling out and it really would surprise me if we see him back before Bama at the earliest.

While I doubt this is true, that isn't what the post said.

I think the Fournette's have been dealing with a range of emotions the last few weeks. They had big hopes for Leonard because he was labeled in 8th grade as the most Adrian Peterson-like back since Adrian Peterson. We know his dad and Miles had a # of carries plan. So here we are in year 3. No heisman, no head coach that recruiting him his whole life, no chance at a national championship, 11 guys on defense targeting him every time he's on the field and then he get injured on top of everything. He probably shouldn't have gone against Auburn but he probably thought he was still playing for all of those goals. Somewhere in the back of his mind he has to be thinking "what if."

That is a fairly solid argument, actually.

We all see what's going on in college football. If Fournette chooses Bama 3 years ago who knows how he's talked about today. In that offense and having guys like Yeldon, Henry, Scarborough, etc, to split carries with and keep him fresh..... it would've been unfair.

Are maybe he is thinking "I am too close to THE payout to play at 90%."

LF, or any player, isn't only here for "dear ole LSU". They are here for a chance at the next level where they pay in $$$, not books and meals.

Exactly... His draft stock, and the way he is viewed would be no different.

Don't know why? He won't put so much of a burden on him with carries. O is more apt to share carries with the other backs. Good for LF's body holding up...

Not to mention spreading the field at times creating more room for the running backs to run.

However, I know LF loves the fullback so it will take some time to adjust.
