You are all wrong. Billy Cannon = size and speed.

Best in the past 20 years
Kevin Faulk was the real deal..
Jeremy Hill
Cecil Collins
LF could top em all

Not yet. He has not played a down yet. Long way to go to equal Jeremy Hill.

I watched Walker and Jackson and he could have been on or damn near that level.

Hill would have destroyed the LSU rushing records with 3 full years of play.
Destroy?
Hill's 1400 yards x 3 still wouldn't touch Faulk's stats as I stated. And not to mention Faulk's all-purpose yards.
Faulk had 4550yds and 46 TD just rushing
Hill was great and given maybe 4 solid starting years he may of eclipsed Faulk. Faulk's carries were OOC, Hill plays in more of a run by committee as well.
Like I said Faulk is the best there has ever been. LF will be special I'm sure.

Broussard pre injury was a beast.
Lots of great running backs have worn the purple and gold.

These are the best I've seen (admittedly some on video only)
1. Kevin Faulk
2. Billy Cannon
3. Charles Alexander
4. Jeremy Hill
5. Dalton Hilliard
6. Cecil Collins
I've seen Fournette play several times and I think he'll end up in the top 3. He's that good.

Let's let him play a few downs, first. I'll admit that he looked All-World in H.S., but "most talented" is yet to be seen.

Do people not realize that kevin faulk finished his career at lsu after cecil collins had left? Shouldn't this discussion only be about running backs from 1999-now?

No disrespect to the great Tigers mentioned in this thread, but Fournette is a Herschel Walker-Bo Jackson type talent. He was the recruit we had to get.

Before we crown him with the Heisman Trophy, we need to remember another #1 RB who signed with LSU--Garry James...LSU also signed a little known back from Patterson named Dalton Hilliard...While James was a great back, who had the most success? You never know until they hit the field. Fournette looks great and I wish him the best of luck. Thanks for choosing LSU.
