I don't think so, all impact recruits are spoken for, the best LSU can hope for is a couple big space filling JUCO guys that can give minutes. Johnson is working on good 2010 class however. Expect LSU to struggle next season, anything after that is gravy.

You never know. Marcus Thornton was a late signee JUCO player. We may still be in the hunt for a cuple of highly ranked big men, but most high school recruits are signed.

It would be nice to get a foreign big man in the mild of Oglivy, Nevill or Bogut.

You are too far up Coach Johnson's arse, to have a reasonable debate, nor actually hear you.

So, I think I'll let you discuss this with his large Intestine.

this is his and only his fault, either be a better person and these players are more likely to stay, or recruit some of these types of players and 4 year players to create depth, he didn't do that, he only got homeruns and stikeouts

The Lopez twins left Stanford early for the draft. Was that due to their dislike for Johnson?

Did Derrick Rose leave early because he hated Calipari? Did DJ and Kevin Durant hate Rick Barnes?

Trade Randolph for Taz and they coached the same team. You can't tell me the difference between those 2 players is as great as the difference in their conference records.

Taz has had a better season due to experience and maturity. It took Randolph over half a season to begin to develop some consistency.

This is a healthy and more experienced team all around thatn the team last season which has shown up in their record.

You just pointed out that LSU is not the only school with players leaving early for the NBA, so please don't use that excuse for J. Brady any more.

The difference is that Texas and Memphis are still competitive for the NCAA tournament every year.

On the other hand, Brady with Big Baby, Taz and GT came back from the Final Four team and coud NOT even qualify for the NIT tourney. What is the excuse there???

JB was way in over his head at LSU. Be a man and admit it. Heck, he is struggling at ASU now too. Losing 9 out of 10 and battle ULM for second to last place in the Sun Belt conference.

The difference is LSU went through draconian NCAA probation which affected teh program from 1999 through 2003. This came on the heels of four straight losing seasons under Dale Brown. The program had not developed enough sustain early departures to the NBA for three straight season.

While I agree that perhaps Brady and staff could have done a better job in 2007 the fact remains Magnum Rolle was expected to replace Tyrus Thomas and he was hampered by a ruptured disc in his back. Terry Martin was expected to make up for some of the outside shooting of Darrel Mitchell and he was inconsistent. Tac Minor would have developed into another scoring threat and he was dismissed from the team.

The team still beat UCONN, Texas A&M, Tennessee and Florida and came within four game ending defeats of a return to the NCAA tourney.

Why not compare what Brady was able to do relative to his SEC competition? Only Billy Donovan and Tubby had more accomplishments. Had he gotten one more season out of Stromile Swift, Brandon Bass and Tyrus Thomas we would be talking about a dynasty.

TJ is a good coach but LSU will struggle. The league will be better/more experienced. LSU will be one of the least experienced teams in the league. The difference between LSU and Tennessee will be that LSU is going to schedule really soft. Tennessee scheduled tough. I think we will see another soft schedule for LSU

Good points josh!!! SERIOUS!!!

TJ did not inherit a bad team. That is nonsense. He inherited a team with a bad record but did not inherit a bad team. He inherited an two SEC POY candidates in Taz Mitchell and Marcus Thornton. A senior defensive specialist who has played in some monster games. He has done a great job with the team but they were picked to win the west before the season. He does deserve credit for bringing order to this bunch and actually coaching them

PJ has been saying this on the radio since he got hired!! Thanks for listening!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Experience no, but HEALTH YES!! He has bought in an attitude of WE KNOW WE CAN WIN. Instead of we hope we win!!!! Look at how many times this years team has NOT quit when behind and ended up winning the game!!!!!

This board is infested with immature college geeks who are easily intimidated by our jealous coach haters.

We will see how long they support T.J. when the coach haters come back next year.
Our jealous coach haters raised their ugly heads last year during the middle of the baseball season, and a lot of our immature geeks were quickly intimidated into parroting the coach hater rants against Marineri.

Fortunately, Marineri--who was labeled as in over his head—proved the coach haters wrong with a record setting win streak all the way to the CWS.

Tasmin Mitchell broke his foot.

Chris Johnson broke his hand.

Quinton Thornton had a torn biceps muscle.

How is Brady responsible for those injuries?

He can coach unhealthy and untalented teams, but just like any other coach in that situation his team will not be successful.
