Let's say we didn't back into the National title game in 07,

how is Les viewed at this moment compared to how he is actually currently viewed?
If you want to try and say we didn't back in to that game with some utter ridiculousness, then you really don't grasp reality.
I think Les may be fired at this point if he isn't the luckiest SOB in the world in 2007. What say you?

I don't know how he's viewed, but I got your back on backing into the title game.

Aren't you technically backing into the National Championship if you are not undefeated?
This is not in defense of Miles, but more just examining the stupidity of your statement.

Better to be lucky than good. If we were lucky in 2009, we would have finished on par with 2005-2007, despite our offensive woes.

i guess we didn't back into the title game in 2003 as well right?

I love the guys that hate Miles sooooo much, they will belittle one of the only two undisputed National Championships we have, A true fan.

I definitely have my issues with Les as of late...but he outcoached Tressel in the BCS title game.

There is a difference between being a 1-loss team that is one of 3 teams going into the last weekend of the season (conference title games) and being ranked 7th and needing losses by numerous teams to jump 5 spots on the last weekend.
We lost to UF in week 6 in 2003. We lost to Arkansas (our second loss) in the last week of the regular season. That is straight up backing into a title game.
You can see it how you like it. We won it, and I am proud of the players, but to act like we were NOT ridiculously lucky in 2007 as compared to 2003 is just plain stupid.
Loving LSU and appreciating our championships doesn't supersede using common sense and realizing what 2007 really was.

I never said he didn't outcoach Tressel. He did. This is about GETTING to the NC, and the fact that people use the NC as the means to defend Miles. If not for the craziest weekend in college football in like 40 years, LES and LSU are in the Sugar Bowl for nothing more than a basic BCS bowl game and not an NC.

i think he'd be viewed about the same, its not like he could really be viewed that much worse than he is right now

Lets say the Refs don't blow the pick call at Bama and we win. Lets say the refs don't blow the Penn State player laying on our guy and we win the game and go 10-2 last season.
What's your opinion of him if he is not the unluckiest SOB in the world.
You can play this shite all day

Are you really comparing those two games to the crap that happened in 2007?
