quote:
I'm not calling for a change at QB but if Garrett is hurt, he shouldn't play. Or at least play much.
BK has used the phrase “he gives us the best chance to win” regarding his QBs since he has been here. The guy who played Saturday at Oxford does not. He is a shell of hinself and cant make half the throws that need to be. Also whatever is wrong with him seems to be freezing his mind/decision making to the point he is too late to make the plays

“We put too much pressure on Nuss to be perfect.”
but do we put too much pressure on him to earn his 4 million dollars of nil?

What I don’t get about Kelly is the repetitive phrase of playing complementary football combined with his wish ‘to coach them bettter.’
Neither is happening and this is both on coaching—and this directly flows down to the players, the team’s performance and all the corresponding frustration.
If you’re preaching complementary football, you have to coach it as well by doing what needs to be done, for example, to have the QB run at least five times a game depending on the situation. It’s clear Kelly isn’t high on Nuss running perhaps due to an injury, but if this is true, it doesn’t take much ingenuity to put in a running QB when the time calls for it.
I remember when saban called him, not long ago, an offensive genius. This coming from not just a defensive genius but likely the greatest college football coach of all time. I don’t see where ‘offensive genius’ is when you can’t see—or choose not to do—something that not only fans can see but also will keep your championship hopes alive. This includes making a change at OC.
The greatest coaches make those calls. The forgettable or lesser ones don’t. I’m really not sure which category Kelly wants to be in looking at his final product
