I will be the first to say, I have kicked someone who was on the ground during bar fight (trying to get up but still). Anyone else care to admit this?

Not saying it's ok, but I am a very level headed/reasonable person that acted like a damn fool once in a bar fight....

FWIW - JJ should be booted off the team if it was him.

Please whack if similar thread already exists (searched but did not find)

I can honestly say ive been in a few and I have never kicked someone on the ground....maybe a knee when they were trying to get up but I would never kick someone especially if they did not see it coming

The Ranters are the utmost moral and ethical characters around. The level headed sane people on here would never do such a thing as roughhousing in a bar parking lot with America's heroes.

just willing to bet several of the folks holding judgment have either never been in a bar fight (complete chaos)or a fight period.

Problem with bar fights, I haven't ever seen a rule book.

Was it because you were the one on the ground?

Honestly, if anyone has been in a fight, you know that you don't think or reason about anything. You just want to beat the shite out of someone.

It's when someone pulls you off or tries to make you stop that you realize what you are doing and that you shouldn't take it too far.

Never kicked a man while down. I have jumped on top to ground and pound before. I would never kick someone on the ground. Unless I have every intention to kill or severely harm that person. No amount of drunkenness debauchery would ever require me to feel I should kill or severely harm someone.

I have, and would do it again if put in the same situation. There are no rules to bar/street fights. Period.

best friend spent three years of his life in prison for being accused kicking a guy in the head. The guy died a week later after refusing medical care. As innocent as a bar fight can be things can get very serious in heartbeat

I got into a big fight in high school. I was kicked while on the ground and I was hit with a bottle in the head. When I got up and moved on I kicked someone that was on the ground. Frankly, I started the fight and deserved everything I got, which was a severe arse kicking. I didnt press any charges.

I could see in a rumble maybe putting one to the body if they are getting up. Out numbering someone and beating them down and kicking them hell no.
