Lets all over react...

To a win against a ranked team in the first game of the season. All overboard. It looks like everyone has jumped ship. They can all stay gone for all i care. All those who are bitching about us winning last night are no LSU fans in my opinion. Fans should be supportive of the team they love. That's all I have to say. Peace.

please reread your own post and think about what you just said

I think you are all thinking too much. At the end of the day, we are 1-0. Just move on and think about next week. I know that national perception of us is down now, but what does that have to do with anything? If we just keep winning, it doesn't matter one bit what the nation thinks after one game. And if we do lose a few games this year, then we deserve to have a negative perception. But until that happens, I'm not giving up on my Tigers!

If you had just landed here from mars and this was your first LSU football game, I might would agree with how you could see things this way.
Look at the last two years of football under Miles. Do you see a little pattern of maybe bad play and bad play calling? We were up 30-10 and should have won easily. Instead we ended up almost losing to a handicapped team.

I'm glad we won and I think there were several positives but mostly because we have great athletes. When the coach starts trying to run out the clock after halftime then we have a problem.

Dionysus is the ancient Greek god of wine.
Been sipping a little too much there partner.

...and you shouldn't that is a good attitude.

Wouldn't say that was truly a ranked team on the field last night but folks are fearing more of what they saw last season (i.e. another .500 or worse SEC record). I think we need at least another two games to get a feel for this team. There were definitely some positives in the game but also some really embarrassing things. Hope Les can begin course correction and shore up what he has control over.

I could believe that you would be one of the many who criticize Coach Miles for the way he speaks.

Let's all point at you and say moron. You must've been watching a different game than we were.

You obviously dont know why every1 is mad, and you obviously are not a true LSU fan (or atleast an intelligent one) if you are honestly ok with what happened last night.
Since you are so ignorant, let me break it down for you.
#1 We would have lost had it not been for the 2 dropped passes in the endzone in the final 10 seconds.
#2 That team was missing 7 starting players
#3 Miles is supposed to learn from his mishaps in the past, yet he does more of the same (shuts it down with a big lead in 2nd half) he has done this about 5 times in his coaching career, and obviously has failed to learn anything. He also had more clock management issues during the drive before halftime. What a suprise
#4 After Crowtons performance last year he is given a second chance but delivers more of the same (only 55 offensive snaps, shitty offensive perfomance, not taking advantage of mismatches)
Its not overeacting, its just the reaction any knowledgable person would have

Dude,
We travel with LSU, football AND baseball. Nobody I know supports my Tigahs more than I do, not only with my heart and soul but with my wallet. In the first game, you look for improvements over last year. You look for more consistency, more versatility in the play callng and in the execution. I believe we have the talent and I believe the wins will continue to come IF we can see these improvements. Last night, I DIDN'T see those improvements and damn sure no consistency. So what am I led to expect I'll see against W.Virginia, Bama and Florida, much less the other SEC schools? THAT'S what everybody is ticked off about. We pay a coach $4 million a year to achieve those goals of consistency, versatility, etc. You cannot look at LSU's performance last night without wondering what the hell they've been doing with these kids all spring, summer and fall, and you have to use that game as an indicator of what we can expect NEXT week. It's ALL we have. So don't tell me not to get exercised about what I saw, dude. Last night, we stunk and nearly dropped a game to a team that was only half there. The other half was in the stands watching like me.

Missing 7 defensive starters, their top 2 RBs and their top WR?

Perfectly said! And completely reasonable.
The ad hominem attacks from the Thought Police on this board is getting obnoxious. They seem to think the only acceptable posts are those that blindly praise the WIN while ignoring the blatant problems presented last night (and from the last 2 seasons)...
Here is the ESPN quick analysis of the game:
"Despite the win, LSU still has major question marks. The Tar Heels were without 13 players, most of those starters, and the Tigers simply couldn’t put them away. LSU was unable to consistently run the ball and couldn’t get off the field defensively when it needed to in the second half. Simply, the Tigers were lucky to escape."
But if you say it, you might be a "Negi-tiger"
