king bob , Every coach makes mistakes but your disapproval does not a mistake make,Sabin makes his mistakes but we don't have to hear them repeated constantly like a broken record ! A critisisim repeated a thousand times does does not add up to a thousand mistakes unless you are negatard !

I love LSU football and really like the job Miles has done with it. That's the best I can articulate how I feel about him.

I think Les is a better coach than he gets credit for.... I mean an average coach doesn't luck into a 79% winning percentage... the dude is one hell of a coach....

He has his downfalls in that he lacks a clear understanding with the media, he tends to to take over games, etc.... But the dude has won and won a lot so I can't hate on him

It just makes no sense when people say that Saban is a great coach and Miles is just a good coach; that there is no comparison between the two. That's absolutely not true. For instance:

2011 - Oklahoma State makes the field goal against Iowa State. LSU plays Oklahoma State for the BCS Championship, and virtually everyone believe LSU would have won that game.

2012 - In the fourth quarter of the LSU/Bama game, the Tigers with a 4th and 1, Stud runs that horrible "surprise" play with Ware under center. Run Hill off tackle, pick up a yard, and LSU wins the game. If the Tigers could have gotten by Georgia in the SEC Championship game, they would have destroyed Notre Dame for the title.

The point is, take away two plays, just two plays (one of which didn't even involve either team)and LSU might well have been the team seeking a third straight title in 2013, while Saban would have gone four straight years without so much as a division championship and Bama fans would be calling for his head.

There just isn't a big gap between the two. People talk about the luck of Miles, but Saban has had just as much good fortune, or luck, in winning titles.

I don't know man. I have the sense he might be trolling them, and everyone else outside the locker room, for years. But maybe so, don't know.

You let LSU play one of the worse teams in the SEC, Tenn., every yr, and let Bama one of the best SEC teams, Fla., every yr and that gap would have even been smaller.

Fla., since 05, is winning 70% of their SEC games while Tenn. is winning 40% of theirs.

wow, now duke has joined the conversation.
often, i just back out of arguments w/ crazies.

they cannot change, it's a neurological disorder.

i try to get into compassion instead of anger.

it is soooo much better to walk away from that kind of person!

anger and resentment is kinda like taking poison hoping the other person will get sick.

i try not to hold bitterness!

We didn't make the plays Bill, so it's a moot point.
Both coaches have their strengths and weaknesses.... But Saban's got more hardware.
Both have been lucky to a degree in their careers. I love how our fans piss and moan about the rematch 1/9 (and no...those gumptards should have never been there IMO) and then conveniently forget we were DAM lucky in 07 to get to the NC as well....Pitt says hello and your welcome.

There are things about both coaches I like and dislike. If CLM had a second title he would have few detractors if any. Winning one is great but luck plays apart as well as many other intangibles. Win a second one.....there's no disputing your legacy then.

No Sir Bubba...I remember winning the SEC very very well. I also remember beating the gumptards at home in 2011 and watching them cry like babies.
As an LSU fan I'M sure you thought is was pathetic to see Saban lobby to be in the BCSNCG knowing he didn't deserve it.

Yea it was pathetic to see Saban lobbying to get in...but ya gotta admit once he did, he took advantage of the situation.

I'm pickin at your name....quit being so thin-skinned especially when you're dishing it out too! It is kinda of a Debby'Downer name ya know.

I'm a lot of things....racist wouldn't be one of them.

The Bills are not in the SEC. So, your point is a tad hazy.

If you want to think facing an SEC East schedule last yr the like of Ga. and Fla is not more difficult/team taxing than facing Vandy and Kent., so be it. I disagree. If you want to think playing a permanent SEC East opponent since 05 the likes of Fla is not much more difficult than facing a Tenn team, that's your call to make. I disagree.

Bama had to beat us once and we had to beat them twice. Pardon me if I find that a tad slanted against LSU. I don't recall LSU having to beat anyone twice in 07.
