However using that as loyalty is absurd
Debating the "loyalty" of a HC soon to have spent a decade at the same school given the fact 3 separate tries were made to hire him away is where the real absurdity can be found. imo

kg is all bama second choice auburn!

I dislike him for 2 reasons.
1. Threw his qb (JJ) under the bus after the Ole Miss blunder back in 2009. I'll never fully forgive that.
2. Too stubborn to use Michael Ford.
And as for the Alabama chatter... If you're not "scared" of Alabama, you probably aren't scared of anything. That's like not being afraid of Mike Tyson in a boxing match. Bama is the best right now. No argument otherwise.

JJ has earned his spot under the bus. Les did way more favors for JJ than he ever deserved.

Just sayin... Miles literally yelled and signaled at his QB to spike the ball, then proceeded to lie about and say he doesn't know who told him to do so. Says a lot about his character in my opinion.
And Ford could have won a Heisman trophy if Miles would have utilized his elite combination of agility/quickness/speed/power/burst.

He gave JJ every chance in the world to succeed, I think Les is allowed one pass on giving JJ shite.

What do you base this off of? His stellar NFL stats?

what makes you a LSU Tigers fan its not your posts

It's not just Saban, it's any coach in my opinion, Muschamp, Pelini, Petrino. I don't care for that style of "coaching" and I didn't like it when Saban was prowling the LSU sidelines. Just my preference, but perhaps it doesn't bother you.
What amazes me is the number of posters who have recently stated that Saban is an a-hole/bad parent/overbearing boor/chippy with the media/throws temper tantrums on the sidelines/yells at players/uncompromising perfectionist/etc. etc.

thats my point. damn...some of you are dense

I've never understood why people get so GD irate when Saban's name is mentioned. It's ridiculous.
CLM's record stands on its own merits....as ppl point out all the time. Why the insufferable insecurity???
whats the point in mentioning the HC of bama everytime Miles' name is mentioned? get over it already

Les = Stability, in fact probably the most stable program in college football

High school- Got touches, top RB in state by a longshot. Numbers were better than Fournette's. (3.1 GPA for those who claim he's "dumb")
LSU- On limited touches,
held LSU's all time record for yards per attempt at 5.73 (broken by Hill and Magee of course).
-Was given a shot on special teams and became the best returner in the SEC. Broke Domanick Davis's record for return yardage.
Combine- "surprised" scouts with arguably the best results of all 2013 RBs.
Bears- Undrafted and beat out Armando Allen for a roster spot.
-Bears recently let Michael Bush and Devin Hester hit the market, making Ford their #2 RB behind Forte and kick returner.
It doesn't take numbers though to recognize greatness when you SEE it.
Miles just refused to steer away from his pound it between the tackles philosophy, that's all.

I am not a fan of Les, but I hope he does well, because I love LSU. I could care less if I like the coach, I care about LSU. I think too many people associate love or hate for Miles with love or hate for LSU. There is a major difference. I didn't like Saban when he was at LSU as a person (he was a douche when I had to deal with him), but he won games and helped rebuild the program.
As for Miles, honestly, I think he's a man that has greatly benefited from the situation he got himself into here at LSU. I also think he's as stubborn as a mule and needs way too long to learn from mistakes and in many cases has yet to learn from them.
Simply put, Les is a guy that is a pretty good recruiter, and good at hiring when given enough chances, but is absolutely resistant to change until his hand is forced. He's very reactive and not very proactive at all. The 2006 season's offense showed this and his handling and firing of several coaches including Crowton and Studs showed this.
I think he gets a lot of undeserved hate, but I think others defend him when he doesn't deserve it, especially continually excusing his major issues.
He wins, fine, but his teams have shown they won't show up at times and look unprepared for the team ahead of them. This is directly a reflection of coaching when it consistently happens. The 2012 NC game honestly did him in for me as ever really liking the guy. It's not that LSU lost. It's that in that game, he showed me a coach who refuses to adjust and will watch his team sink and honestly seem like they gave up. For all the talk of how much guys love to play for him, I didn't see players willing to run through a wall for him that game. I saw players that gave up. That, combined with all his other gaffes, are how most will remember him IMO, whether fair or not.

Is that why he pulled Lee in the game of the century?
Or why he fixed the co DC thing quickly?

Well at least you can acknowledge that it's not fair. Les has done more here than any other coach, and you choose to focus on the negative. Tells me all I need to know about you.

Undrafted
Due to his limited touches at LSU. Nobody will draft a guy who only got 300 carries in college.
Like I said though, he broke Faulk's rushing record and Davis's return record. Now why he didn't lead the SEC in touches is all on Miles.
