Teach those hardheads a lesson. Keep them out of the playoff for what they did to themselves. Why reward cowardice?

Alabama aside, teams should be heavily penalized for close games and losses if their SOS is terrible. Alabama is basically 0-1 this year and Clemson’s game against UNC should be viewed as a loss. Just my opinion but I think it’s bullshite for certain teams to go 11-1 against the school for the blind and get in over teams who are 10-2 against four or five top 25 teams.

And then they have the nerve to talk all this “They disrespecting us” bullshite. You deserve to be disrespected for trying to act like you have any quality wins from that horseshite you call an out of conference schedule.

I don’t think it’s cowardice. Bama has consistently played some good OOC teams in the saban era. It legit might be tough to find a good opponent who wants to needlessly face Bama.

They are the biggest proponent of keeping the permanent cross division opponent cause they want the Tennessee cupcake. I hope it starts costing them.

Cop out reasoning. You saying Duke was the only team out there with any 'balls'?

Hell yeah. Ohio state would play them. Oklahoma would play them. As would pretty much any team with a hope for a title. You gotta go through them anyway most likely, might as well size them up

so bama should be penalized for playing a shite schedule. ok. but we beat, in a close game, that team. so lsu should be penalized as well, right?

I don’t know. Maybe so?
In the Saban era, Bama has played regular season games against: Virginia Tech, FSU, USC, Louisville, Wisconsin, West Virginia, Michigan, Penn St, Clemson.

That's a impressive list of former opponents. Too bad they chose Duke this year, no excuse for that.

Point is, Bama has not shirked opponents in the past so no reason to think it’s cowardice now. Yes, Bama should be penalized for the weak schedule. And I hate Bama with a passion. So y’all stop making me defend them.

tGumps simply pushed the envelope until it might potentially bite them in the arse. Well, that time is now.

It’s likely they are a legit Top 4 team.

Problem is...this is an opinion & it hasn’t been PROVEN or EARNED by beating ranked teams. Bama scheduled 4 no contest OOC games & the weakest SEC East opponents possible.

If there’s any fairness in CFB, they will be out of the Playoffs.

Bama’s ridiculous obsession with playing Tenn is hurting them too.

That's not nearly as huge a deal as them playing Duke.

tGumps can't control their SEC schedule, but they damn well control their OOC opponents.

Saban has talked about going to a 9 game conf schedule, but we all know Bama has insisted on the permanent cross division opponents. Thereby guaranteeing the Tenn game. If Bama didn’t insist on that “rivalry” then there’d be more rotation of opponents.

The Gumps can control their SEC schedule if they wanted. If Saban played Florida every year regular season during the Tebow/Meyer era he would have a few more losses and would have cried about competitive balance and the need to play everyone. (He was 1-1 against Tebow in SEC championship games). We know if he complained for a couple seasons the scheduling would be equal now. Our SEC schedule is automatically harder than Bama every year because, since the East-west split, Florida has been better than Tennessee by far. Ask Peyton Manning (0-4 against the gators).

I agree to a certain extent but it is kind of weird that somehow mathematically they keep dodging playing with Georgia and Florida in the regular season. I'm sure that there's no conspiracy there but it definitely fell short this season in terms of quality opponents. In a way I'm kind of okay with it because LSU is about even with them in terms of talent and ability but played much better opponents and that helped us win against them. Either way it's going to also hurt them at the end if Oregon and Oklahoma win out

If Bama squeaks into the playoffs and LSU wins out, then once again Bama gets the benefit of an extra week to heal up and prepare for the playoff game while LSU has to play a difficult Conference championship game. How is that remotely fair?
