No. Les will get better in certain things and worse in others. Les didn't let anything from last year change his thinking this year, and it cost his team a title. Les' changes are going to make LSU better and worse at the same time is how I see it.
You sound like you have a wonderful life.

I just enjoy seeing so-called fans like this suffer. People like this aren't happy with life in general so they have to come on here in bitch about what Miles did not do. We get it already. We shite the bed. That doesn't mean Miles is a shitty coach or needs to be fired. Only small minds can't separate the two. So suffer away. I'm perfectly happy with the season and looking forward to next year.

i would be willing to bet that he does not hire an offensive coordinator. he probaly thinks that we did good on offense. if he does it would surprise the hell out of me if he was a top notch one.

Based on the logic of the haters every coach except Saban should be fired? 13 wins, one over the great Saban, and let's run Les out of town on a rail and don't forget the tar and feathers! After all the work, the practices, the late nights, and don't forget the 1 million dollar bonus, do u honestly think Les was not disappointed and embarrassed by the Loss. I can accept that we are all disappointed and even angry, hell I yelled at the TV. But I can't understand the Hate toward one of the best and most loyal coaches in football. I realize that their is nothing I am saying that will change the Haters. To those who respect and appreciate this coach and this special team I say keep the faith.

Important Note:

Saban vs. Miles in BCS CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES

Results:

Saban (21-0)

Championships is what they play for.

Thanks for pointing that out. Probably got me there, since the odds are astronomical that this matchup will happen again in a BCS Championship game. I'm gonna just hope for a win against Bama at home next year regular season. And hopefully another shot at the title.

I believe Miles is already beginning to show signs of going in the right direction with him immediately reaching out to Shepard & getting him to return for his senior year.

The next step would be to finish the recruiting season strong & then in the spring, he needs employ more of a passing attack to the offense to go along with the strong stable of returning running backs.

I truly believe Miles learned the hard way Monday that handcuffing the offense will not allow him or the team to reach their ultimate goals.

One thing I would like to see out of Les, is for him to stop being so conservative. He needs to go for the jugular more instead of bludgeoning the opposition to death. By doing so, he could in return get some valuable playing for some of the underclassmen at key positions.

at 3.5 million a year, do you think such large lessons should be learned on the job?

Maybe he can learn how to have the most wins among BCS schools and the most wins in the SEC since 2005, huh.

Oh wait...he already holds those rankings.

Maybe he should be making 5 mil a year, huh.

A game that should have never happened.

It seems conference championships don't mean squat any more.

Point being is I believe the depth of the hurt and humiliation Les must feel will only make him a better coach

well every year basically has 1-2 examples of games where we keep saying "les will learn from this and get better" and we still keep falling into the same problems. i will say that i hope monday night was FINALLY the turning point for les

Wait, what? The coaches are 3-3 vs each other.

Content with mediocrity?

75-18
3 SEC West titles
2 SEC Championships
2 National Championship Game Appearances
1 National Title

If that is "mediocrity" then you have no perspective and your opinion can't be taken serious.

Mediocrity?

Les needs to hire an OC he likes and trusts and let him run the offense. Much like he does not fool with Chavis' defense.

What the hell are you smoking? Miles brought this chit on himself. He had the gun loaded and the hammer cocked waiting to pull Lee and go with jefferson. Miles with his stupidity to stick with jefferson and not provide his team a fighting chance have sole ownership for the humiliation!
