I also don't think he has BBQ buddies.

He does. He just decided to go coach a mid major in Florida instead of coming here. He fell into the BBQ buddy trap at Ole Miss didn’t exactly convince everyone he’s vhanged by hiring Ensminger.

By hiring a guy who hasn’t run his own offense in this century that not even two years ago said he had no desire to hold the position he now holds?

I'm gonna be honest with you, I'd be surprised if you found your way to and from work each day. If you have a job.

It kills you doesn't it if someone is positive on the program? It really does.

I'm skeptical his evaluation and hiring processes of coaches due to past hires. I think that's pretty fair.

Ya think!???!

Look up Ed Orgeron and OC hires.

Not to mention he leads the NCAA in hiring felons for administrative staff.

I hope we win no matter who is HC but there is not much if any evidence that O as actual HC responsible for hires and fires is anything but abysmal.

Hope and pray.

I dont need to build a case, I don't care if you give me benefit or not. Your opinion is no better than mine. You don't know what is going to happen this year, nor do I. Any attempt to "back up" your opinion is still speculation. I think E will do well, with HIS offense and scheme. O is obviously comfortable with him. He did well in all games but bama last time he led the offense. You can bet your arse they are preparing for bama and if burrow is as advertised...in tiger stadium..watch out.

All anyone has is opinion. It all goes back to agenda and whether you are a positive or negative person. You continue your blabbering all the time about how bad E is, O is, etc.
That's cool dude, be negative. Just please don't jump on the wagon when you didn't have the objectivity to at least give them a chance.

He just extended aranda, bright in an entire shadow staff, and brought in a significant upgrade at OL coach. You don't know shite kid. Spew your negativity though, it obviously is becoming of you.

That 2012 class cost us a NC in 2013. Best offense since 2001. Worst defense since 1998.

shite, my bad. This whole time I thought that sports message boards like this are here in part for fans to exchange opinions and discuss relevant topics pertaining to their favorite team. You are obviously free to make a sweeping statement of opinion and provide nothing to back it up. I don’t see the point in that, but knock yourself out.

Shut up with this bullshite . “They” are getting their chance. I want nothing more than for Ensminger, a true tiger, to prove everyone’s wrong and blow the doors off SEC defenses every week. But surely you understand my apprehension, right?

Apprehension is one thing. These guys have poured their souls into their careers. At least give them a shot before continuously bashing them.

Yes it is a message board, with opinion. I think E will do very well and that the d will be nasty...leading to a memorable season. Bookmark it.

Very impressed that he was able to retain Aranda. However, Aranda was already there. He didn't have to identify, evaluate and interview him like Canada.

All of this is an unknown until we see how it translate to the field. Canada and Mickey Joseph were supposed to be good last year and both were a disaster.

I don't know about the shadow staff. It won't be worse than what we had, agreed? The OL coach, to me, was a home run hire. Jmo

Respect is earned not given.

LSU’s Head coach isn’t the Pope. I dont Have to congratulate him for nothing.

9-4 isn’t good enough. He needs to have a good enough season to earn respect. He needs to have more than 1 good seasons

But I promise If he goes 11-2 next year I’ll lay off him.

Agreed, of course not. The shadow staff seems like a great idea. It's just a question of are they the right coaches and how do they function with the other coaches and how does that translate.

Just furthering my point of being skeptical of the evaluation. It's quite possible O figured out what he doesn't want and all of these guys are home runs.

Dont waste your time. These people dont want O to succeed because they wanted some big 12 coach where defense is optional or some 30 year old wonder boy that won at the community college level.

Again... they’re getting their chance. My giving concrete, rational reasons for apprehension is not “bashing”. Stop acting like everything is a personal attack.

think E will do very well

Great. I hope to god he does. All I’m asking is for a reason or reasons for your optimism. Is it Ensminger’s job he did as interim in 2016? He did a solid job. Couldn’t get the job done against the 2 best defenses we faced. And what he did in 2016 as interim isn’t remotely the same as his task at hand now. Still, a somewhat valid reason for optimism.

He had over 400 yards against Florida. Don't start this bs again. This is what drives me insane when people with an agenda won't be objective and fair. Guice and Jackson stopped what would have been a double digits point win. Seems not only did guice fumble inside the 10 yard line, and then run the wrong play, I think we also missed a chipshot. To a hater and negative person, you can say 10 points.....to an objective person I see 400 plus yards and two players miscues.

Bama was horrible I agree. There were some shots but don't think etling was mentally ready. I think they will have the best gameplan they can against bama this year.
