Basically the NFL version of Miles when you consider he won with Tony Dungy's team as people say Miles won with Saban's. Wouldn't Gruden be the same as Miles? In other words, LSU is just as well off with Les Miles.

The Dodgers made Z. Lee one of the highest paid draft picks this past year. He was taken at the end of the 1st. He was not expected to go to the league ad no one thought the Dodgers would throw out a $5+ million contract. I don't see how someone could blame Les for that.

Les also still has two QBs with 2 years of eligibility left. A good Juco QB is interested also. I don't really think this is as big a deal as people are making it.

Crowton should be gone after this season and the situation should be a lot better. Our team is built right now to only need solid QB play.

Yes, landing players like Ridley, Shep, Randle, Ware, etc., in recent years shows that Miles & his staff can recruit the offensive stars as well. If the Tigers can land Mettenberger, I would think we could also be satisfied with QB recruiting. Remember, he had beaten out Murray, a 5-star recruit, for starting QB at Georgia last summer. If he can play well here, that should enable LSU to redshirt Rivers and develop him for the future.

Do you have a link or a source that is saying Rivers is considering changing his commitment to Georgia--he should realize Richt is unlikely to return as head coach. I have not heard this, but don't subscribe to any of the recruiting services.

I forgot how Oklahoma State made it to the national title game the year after he left then fell apart once his influence was gone.

yeah just sign one QB who happens to be a huge MLB prospect, cross your fingers and nothing will ever be your fault

and in two years, we will have what? Barret Bailey, Rivers and maybe a JUCO? That is juggernaut recruiting at its finest. Neglect the ever living shite out of the most important position on the field and sign a bunch of punters.

Nevertheless, that Raider team was a conglomeration of old, talented players. The Tampa team was built mostly from the draft by Dungy and Monte Kiffin as well.

I can't wait until Les' chalk talk segments on ESPN with the top NFL QB prospects. We should all learn a lot.

Oh well, all I can say is keep dreaming, dude.

I never was the biggest Miles fan myself, but they keep winning and as long as they do, you will not hear me complaining.

Pretty stupid considering that Dungy could never go the distance with that team and the team that he left from the previous year was the team that they played in the Super Bowl

You really think that Miles and Gruden are the same?

Ah, you mean that LA tech team that damn near beat us last year?

Or do you refer to the Tennessee Dooley who damn near beat us again this year? Refresh me.

It's a paraphrased theory of Bear Bryant. I don't know if he sucked at coaching or not.

Max, did you watch the Nebraska game tonight? LSU STILL getting made fun of on national TV.

Davis, lead commentator, was plugging the LSU/Florida game, and stated Florida was trying to rebound from their loss against Alabama, and LSU was rebounding from their win against Tenn lol.

It's so sad, it's funny.

Miles should have had a fricking backup plan knowing there was at least a chance he might leave before he cut Garrett

Please. that's like saying he's going to have two plays ready on the goalline with less than 30 seconds left. the man does not plan ahead very well.

Really? Tell me about all the great QBs he has recruited...

Or the O-line stars that actually played more than one season...

He's spotty and doesn't get much out of what he did land.
