So now it's 0-2 against Florida, Alabama, and Ole Miss. Arkansas used to be on the list, but sadly for most people here they can't be used anymore. We took Arkansas off. Next season we'll take a couple of the others off or maybe even all 3. How is 8-5 to 9(10)-3 a decline?

When is it ever OK to go 1-7 versus Florida, Bama, Arky, and Ole Miss over a 2 year period? If this is acceptable for fans then we don't really care if we compete for SEC West titles. I would not brag about going 2-0 versus Miss State (or a struggling Auburn the last 2 years). I have no doubt Les is a good enough coach to go around 7-5 to 9-3 every year, but can he win the West again? We shall see. The last 2 years which are more of an indicator than 3-4 years ago. The last 2 years say he may not win the West again. He deserves next year to see if he can be competitive in the SEC West. I am realistic and just want LSU to be competitive in our own division first.

He's already done it twice...why wouldn't he be able to.

Why are the last two years more of an indicator? Maybe the first 3 years are more of indicator of what he can do with an experienced QB.

Right now we're 9-3...we finished '04 at 9-3. That's pretty exact. It's not that complicated.

Too complicated for you maybe. We played an extra OOC game this season. We had a different SEC record in 2004 and 2009. We have a bowl game left to play in 2009. In 2004 9-3 was the final record. You need to learn what exact means.

I don't think you comprehension skills are up to par. How hard is it to understand that at this point in time...right now....we're 9-3. Right? Right.

We finished '04 at 9-3. Right? Right.

I really cant dumb it down for you any more than that.

I swear the public school system should be abolished.

So you were taught that exact same is:

9-2 Overall (6-2 SEC) w/ bowl game remaining

=

9-3 Overall (5-3 SEC) w/ bowl game remaining

No wonder you are a running joke on this site.

I know the internet has empowered your small brain to share your worthless thoughts, but I'd still like you to explain what is exact about:

9-2 (6-2 SEC) and 9-3 (5-3 SEC).

You can't. Because it's not exact.

We play an extra game this year. Wow, I know hard for your low triple digit IQ. And you talking about the Army. Let me guess, you were too much of a puss to serve your nation.

Miles had bad QB play last year and a bad defense. This year, the QB play was adequate and the defense was improved, but the OL was horrifying and the offense as a whole was ugly. And in the past two years LSU has been passed up by Bama and has lost twice to Ole Miss. The team has definitely declined, and with how sloppy and unorganized it is on the field, I really feel like Miles will never get it all together. And even in the best years with phenomenal talent, Miles still lost 2 games. And in many if not most years, 2 conference losses will keep you out of the SECCG. And in every single year in history except for one, 2 losses keeps you out of NC title.

+1, baby. LM seems lost on the sidelines. Ole Miss is unforgiveable.

Imagine how Alabama might feel tomorrow night if they lose again to Florida.

Despite having Bear Bry, uh, I meant N. Saban, at the helm, and all those wins the past 2 seasons, Alabama could only have a pair of SEC West titles to show for it. Does that make the Tide "losers?" Absolutely not, IMHO.

If 'Bama were to lose the Sugar Bowl as it did a yr. ago, Saban's post-season record in the past 3 years would be:

2007: 1-0
2008: 0-2
2009: 0-2

In 2007, when guess who won the BCS Championship, Ala. needed a bowl win to finish 7-6.

As much as I dislike Most Things 'Bama (I've enjoyed sitting with their realfans who actually go to their games--home & road--and some of the Tide Ranters are cool), I believe they've been the best team in the country this year.

So, would all this mean, going by Alabama's standards, that its football program would be in decline?

As much as I enjoy TD.com, this endless exchange should take place online, if it must continue, but off this site. It has nothing to do with the thread now.

Having said that, just because you deserve major props for serving and protecting our country (including defending the rights of those on the Internet who don't agree w/you to express themselves), you have no right to question another's patriotism and lord your military service over anyone. Look, I don't know either one of you, but can we get back to football?
Thanks.
