Is today opposite day?

If UNC was at full strength, we are 4-1 at best right now, and no telling what an opening loss does to the psyche of the team.

Nobody is saying Miles is an a-hole (not a "good guy"), but this has nothing to do with how good of a person he is. He's an average coach, at best. And he doesn't deserve to be coaching a big time program like LSU. He simply doesn't. Even if he did at one point (which could be argued), he has assuredly regressed and lost that right in the last year or so.

You're out of your mind.

i disagree, he has done a great job with his team...you have no idea what they go thru to get their team ready...

Come on man. Are you serious? Watch the end of hte game again and tell me that Les is doing a good job.

While you'r at it, watch Lee throw the ball and tell me that JJ should be starting ahead of him.

i believe lee should be the starter.....his last three drives should be proof....

Miles had no choice but to get Chavis, our co-defensive coordinators did such a great job, our defense 2 years ago looks like our pre-LEE offense of this year, and a good coach would have given Lee his shot sooner, so yes JLee bailed out Miles and Crowton, and yet they pull him out after converting a 4th and 14 on the final drive. So yes, go ahead and give your vote to Less Miles for coach of the year.

You thought they would be 2-3 against that compitition and you think he's a good Coach?
With that line of thinking, I'm sure your season preicion would have been 3-9 or 4-8, right? This with every part of the puzzle in place except for QB position.

So make your argument again as to why this complete idiot is a good Coach. How many times can he make a complete fiasco in game management before you and others realize that LSU has a good case for filing suit for Fraud. This guy will not be a head coach ever again.

i thought they wold be 2-3 because of the youth of the team, butmiles and co have done a great job to get their....defense plays well, special teams plays well, offense has room to improve.....i thoguht lsu would go 7-5 but i think they can be 8-4 or 9-3 this year with luck...next year is their year!

Maybe Chavis can teach Les and GC how to manage the clock in the two minute drill. There's no way he couldn't do better.

Miles is their coach Pirateship. Nobody asks for players to play beyond their abilities, just play like a team and fundamentally sound. If you lose to a better team because you just aren't good enough, then I can live with that, but if you continually shoot yourself and your teammates in the feet every time you start to look like you're making progress then you are not going to get many victories with a struggling couple of QBs. That is what COACHING is all about, and yes, Saban drilled it in his players heads when he was here like it was going out of style. It was HIS PROCESS, which is fundamental football that brought national championships to two programs that hadn't seen one in some time prior to him getting there. It's not Saban necessarily as it is Saban's relentless attention to DETAIL. Miles' teams are anything by clean and limited when it comes to penalties. That's not the players. That's the coach who drills it in their heads without end, or in this coach's case, a whole lot of talk and a lot less action.

Pirateship,

What you're seeing now is the difference in between when you have very talented QBs who can get you out of your own mistakes by their talent, and when you have to play sound football and not kill youself with penalties.

Such is the difference in between Jamarcus Russell and Matt Flynn and these two quarterbacks we presently have.

I have a friend who played for both miles and saban. He says miles is a great guy, but can't hold sabans jock when it comes to coaching. He's basically a figurehead who lets his coaches run the game.
